Dear Customers,

We have recently received some updated information regarding the allowed sauces and dressings list. Previously you were allowed to use a product if the carbohydrates were 5g or less per 100g, you are now allowed to use an item from this list if the carbohydrates are 5g or less per serve.

There are Extra items that may be enjoyed EVERY DAY on the Tony Ferguson

Weightloss Program. When choosing these, follow our below guidelines.

Packaged Proteins

  • Less than 5g of carbohydrates per 100g

Sauces, Dressings & Gravies

These products can be used, in small amounts to flavour your meals. Ensure that they are:

Less than 5g of carbohydrates per SERVE

You have a maximum of 420kJ/100 Calories total from these products per DAY

As a general guideline, you may choose from one of the following each day:

Dressings: 1- 2 Tablespoons (20-40mL)

Sauces and Gravy: ¼ - ½ a cup (60-120mL)

Mayonnaise and Caesar dressing: 1 Tablespoon (20mL)

Sugar - free Lollies

These are allowed on a daily basis but it is important to keep to the suggested amounts as they contain extra calories and too many

will cause a laxative effect:

Hard lollies e.g. TF Butterscotch: Max 6 lollies per day

Soft Chewy lollies e.g. TF Strawberry Chews: Max 3 lollies per day

Sweetened Beverages

Some sweetened beverages can be enjoyed on the Program. Ensure they are:

Less than 1g of carbohydrate per 100mL

Soft drinks are sugar free and caffeine free

As a general guideline:

Diet cordial - small amounts to flavour your water

Diet, sugar-free soft drinks – maximum of 3 glasses per day

Shopping for Extras

When buying products the Total Carbohydrates must be:

Packaged protein: 5g or less per 100g

Sauces, Dressings or Gravy: 5g or less per serve

Diet cordial or soft drinks: 1g or less per 100mL

Sugar-free lollies: 1g or less per 100g

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind Regards,

lol. Good question!

MY SIGNATURE:

To those who appreciate my posts, and there are a lot of you, thanks for your support and i hope that you continue to find my posts amusing or learn something from them.

Should anybody not like me or my posts, feel free to PM me so i can have a laugh at what you think of me because i really dont care. I find all abusive PMs sent to me utterly hilarious, especially from people who obviously dont have a clue about the issue i am talking about. I am yet to be offended by any PM or post on this forum about me and i doubt anybody will change that. I also stick all abusive PMs on the noticeboard at work because my colleagues find them very amusing. Now that we have an official TF forum Code of Conduct (http://forum.tonyferguson.com/Topic425895-15-1.aspx) please note that i also forward every abusive post onto the TF staff to be dealt with. I have no problems with somebody who wants to voice their opinion but i wont tolerate any PM full of foul language.

FYI - Part of my job involves helping clients who are commonly on diets of which TF is by far the most popular. If a client asks me how they should lose weight, i commonly recommend TF if i think it would suits their needs. So for anybody who things i am against TF, i actually help support the TF machine and personally think that it is a well designed diet for the masses. However, i hate it when people are provided incorrect or biased information hence a lot of my posts...

Hi Miss E,

The following information has come from one of our dietitians.

No, because it needs to be less than 5g per serve with the total energy per day coming from these products being a max of 420kJ.However if the serving size that the package specifies is a large serve (it really will depend on what the product is e.g. a sauce as opposed to a dressing – i.e. you wouldn’t get much if you were to divide a tablespoon of dressing into ¼!) and that quantity was not going to be consumed we could work out whether or not they could have this. These products would need to be handled on an individual basis. If you are unsure about a product you can email me the complete nutritional information per serve and per 100ml and we can have a look at it for you.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind Regards,
