Hi Guys,

I weighed in this morning and lost 700g for the week. Not too bad as i had to dine out twice (Chinese and Mexican) and have a few vinos for a friends birthday. SO, i weighed in at 60.5kg and my TF consultant said i shouldn't really drop below 60kg. However, i feel i'm going to be happy at 58kg. I'm moving overseas (going to a cold winter for atleast 6 months) and would rather have a buffer of 58kg to 60kg, rather than 60kg +. Should i stick to what the consultant said or make my goal of 58kg?!! I guess i'm thinking out loud here! Sorry if i'm not making sense. I guess i'm saying - my TF consultant said to start the one-shake plan today for one week (said i may put on up to 1kg, but not get disheartened), OR do one more week of two-shakes (getting me closer to MY goal) and start the 2-shakes next week. Aunt Flo is expected this week too, so i guess i'm scared of putting on from starting the one-shake and on top have increase fluid retention and weight in next week 2kg heavier! The consultant was in a rush this morning so i didn't really get a chance to get all of this out to her. She just handed me the one-shake and said follow the plan.

What are others experience on the one-shake? Did you really put on a 1kg in the first week? Do you think it would be ok to do two-shake for one more week to get to 58, even 59 and then work on the one-shake and maintenance the week after?!! Any thoughts appreciated! This forum is going to be my TF home when i'm in Canada!!

Hi only just started the one shake a day plan and so far so good. No weight gain. If i was you i would probably go to 58. Its only another 2 kilos but i know what you mean. Better to play it safe. The one shake a day plan has been great for me so far. I love having bread. Has pasta the other night and the one cup was plenty.

Thanks! I've decided to get under 60kg this week and stick to two-shakes and start the one-shake next week. Yummo... bread & pasta! Thanks for the input. How long have u been doing one-shake for? My consultant said you only need to do for one week before starting maintenance?

Go for the 58 if that's what you want. i lost small amounts on one shake a day. Ummm, bread-yes, pasta- leave it until goal. If like me, you will find it terribly heavy in your body after being used to no carbs (as such). Another cold winter following this one - you are a braver person than me. Enjoy your move!!

Thanks! Yep, been on the two-shakes this week, so hopefully i'm only a week away from 58 anyway!  Thanks for the advice - i've noticed my taste buds have changed already. I had a sip of a decaf cap yesterday and through it away! I used to love my milk and coffee. So i'm hoping pasta is the same. I'm certainly going to miss my summer this year... but hot shakes now and again will be my treat.
