| Aargh! I have two social things involving food today - lunch AND dinner. Just met a friend for lunch and we went to a cafe. It was all sandwiches and pies, so I thought I was being quite clever asking them to make me a salad with veggies and the sliced chicken breast from the sandwich bar. They were very accomodating, but when it arrived I think they'd drizzled it all with the liquid from the pickled veggies. It was sooo oily. Tasted pretty good, but I was stressing about all that fat. Now I have to face a restaurant meal tonight for my dad's girlfriend's birthday. I downloaded the menu, and will order grilled fish and a salad, but I'm dreading asking for 'dressing on the side'. I know my family will give me heaps... I guess I have to learn to deal with it though if I want to be thin.

Good choice at lunch! I know how you feel...... you just of cringe when ordering food infront of other people! What about if you asked for steamed veggies instead of salad with your meal? OR, place the order and just go to loo and on your way, grab the waitress and say 'oops, i forgot to ask for dressing on the side!' he he!
