By the time Sat weigh in came, I have only lost 700grams...I knows it a loss, but for sweating it out for 7 days.i was a bit bummed!..As a side note, I now realise why i only lost 700grams last week (that time of the month, damn!!.) Anyway, I was feeling very frustrated cause I want to get some exercise, but I dnt really want to walk (only because last time I did that random people drove past and throw stuff at me  :crying: .My TF consultant suggested swimming? School holidays are on atm, But this is something I wouldn't mind trying. Any thoughts?

I have also tried skipping, but that didn't last long. lol

My Councillor gave my a copy of Zumba to try out. I love it, but i dnt think im very coordinated! :hehe: After reading another thread about Wii Zumba, My bf and I are going to buy a copy tomorrow to try out.

But my Question is; Has anyone got any suggestions of good exercise/s to do to help lose the weight? thanks :)

Hungry today!!

Hi guys!

I would like to know if anybody does physical work for their job - I'm a truck driver for Coles online.

My day today was pretty full on, what I want to know is: if your day is more physical than others do you feel more hungry?

I usually am okay, but today I was hungry. But lately, ie. the last couple of years, I have joined gyms and ended up not going. Current example is the $100 a month joint membership hubby and I have that we've not used in 5 months! :w00t:

We also have a very small gym (one treadmill, one exercise bike, one step machine and a weight machine) upstairs in our apartment complex (we are about to sign another 12 month lease) but it can get busy and there is no TV like at the gym.

Soooooo ... I am contemplating getting a treadie and setting it up in the lounge (we have open plan living, so I'd be able to keep an eye on dinner too and watch TV). Speaking to Workout World it seems less than the gym membership per month to either hire (lesser quality treadie) or buy on interest free (you beaut treadie).

We also have a spare room that could hold it once I'm at goal and using it less frequently (I'd need a tele in there though, gosh I am a TV freak but it helps get me motivated to exercise for just "one show").

Thoughts guys??? Anyone done this? I like the idea of hire / interest free finance as I don't have the cash right now to buy one outright.

How much recovery time does my body need?

Hey, I have just bought an elliptical trainer and had been doing about half an hour each day for 3 days, then i did a full hour the day before yesterday and my body was sooo sore the next morning. I've been doing SS for 5 weeks and have noticed a massive improvement in my general strength. Which is awesome! And I love working out at the gym and being in the "Grown Up Section" as I call it.

So I do SS 3 times a week and cardio 3 times a week (yes, I know I shouldn't but I do want to loose fat) and the 7th day I rest.

For those who don't know the SS program, the man wrote a book and it's just amazing. It makes so much sense and blew my mind. I figured I could give it a shot for 6 weeks and see how I felt and I've upped the weights so much that I feel amazing. It's the lazyness factor of coming home and eating whatever is easy, that is messing me up. I have very loose skin mainly around my stomach and arms, Im only 24 never had kids and am unsure of how to regain proper physical shape, and i can only blame myself. I usually jog 3km, 50-100situps and 50-100 weights (for arms) everyday. I do these with equipment at home. Should I sign up to a gym maybe?? should I consider surgery if it gets worse??

Will it eventually work with persistence, patience is so hard.
Any advice and other exercise suggestions would be great. I weigh 70kg but look 80kg!! :(

Best,
sincera

Wii - Just Dance!

Hey everyone!!!

You MUST try Just Dance 3!!!

I got it for Christmas, and I've played it every day for the past 6 days.

For those who don't know about it, you have to follow the dances moves to the person on the screen. You score points based on how accurately you dance.

There's also an exercise program on there which allows you to choose different level programs. I'm currently doing the 'Intense' program where I have to score 3000 'sweat' points per day. Each song you get roughly between 200-400 sweat points. To get 3000 points for the day takes me roughly 30-40mins.

I NEVER exercise! But this is such a FUN way of doing it!!!

Get on it people!!! My goal is to keep my HR above 120, and it usually sits around 140 when I'm doing my workout. But my breathing changes around a lot so its not much of a guide. So I'm having some trouble judging the intensity to know how much I should be compensating for it. Anyone got any ideas? I have just started walking for 30mins each day (local park has paths that are uphill, downhill and flat) and after I get home, if I make a fast twist of my body movements or lay on my side for too long, I get pain around my chest. I asked my doc, and he thought it might be strain on my chest wall..due to the exercise? Any other suggestions? :ermm:

Because of my weight also, my ribs are too far apart, and sometimes (because there isn't much room) my ribs push up against my upper body parts, causing pain..

Its so terrible. I worry about it so much..which then makes me mind run wild and causes more pain..lol.

Thanks in advance :)

anytimefitness

is anyone going to anytime fitness and if so, is it any good?

What sort of program do u do there?

Stunting and Cheer Fitness in Brisbane

Hi everyone,

Just thought I'd let everyone on here know that my Cheerleading and Stunt squad Andante is looking for new members. We take people of all levels of fitness and no previous stunting or cheer experience is required. We offer the chance to get fit and lose weight while learning all the skills needed to compete on a state and national level for both stunting and cheerleading. Training is on every Monday night 7:30-9pm at Morningside and new people can start at any time.

Men are particuarly encouraged to get involved in out Group and Partner stunt program which is a great overall workout and lifting other people is a lot more fun and rewarding than lifting weights in the gym. Women are also welcome to join in with the stunting and, if they are up for the challenge, can try out partner stunting with one of our smaller flyers!

For more information, exact training location and the opportunity to try us out for free please contact me at elizabeth.mcaulay@hotmail.com

Thanks,

Liz

Exercise buddy wanted in or around Dandenong Victoria

Looking for someone who wants to go on regular walks either locally or along tracks near the beach...eg...Mordialloc.
I walk at a fairly brisk pace but am willing to slow down if necessary...Motivation is easier to find when someone else accompanies you.
I am reliable, honest and willing to drive to nearby suburbs if necessary...ANY takers?
