i have both the wii fit and the wii fit plus -- if you havent got one, get the plus - its incorperates the first one into the second one :) giving you much better value - and you can buy it as a standalone game if you already have the board (about $30)

whooo hoooo vixxsen - make the most of the package deals, for the remotes etc (i think targets the best place to go for the utensil and game packages) and check out the catalogues -- also, if you have a cash convertors near you or a hock shop -- check them out for great bargins on th wii and the games -- its coming up to xmas and people are selling them cheap to get money for xmas :)

Where did you get that package from and if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay? Trying to convince my husband to buy one, but with all the bills and Christmas around the corner, not having much success.

Wooooohooooo I bought myself a Wii yesterday. Though I am still waiting for the console to come in stock - which should be tomorrow at the latest. :D

I have the Wii Fit Plus as well as the EA Sports Active - it was meant to come with the Fitness Firsts New U, but I heard that wasnt as good.

I cant wait to start trying it out. I used it at my cousins (when she had one), and loved it! So now as a xmas pressie to myself I got one! :)

i was rather naughty last nite, i had planned to go home from work and do 30mins on the wii fit, but alas i got home, plonked my rear in the lounge chair and needless to say i didn't get to turn the wii fit on ! :ermm:

when i got up outta the chair i went and had a spa instead !

so will have to do extra time tonite ! :satisfied:

oh ! i will have to have a better go at it by the sound of it :) :) that i can do on saturday cause hubbie is at work and the boys will want to go to their friends house...so i will have the house all to myself and i can make a dill of myself without anyone laughing at me, well except me ! hehe :D

hey mrs white, put in the wiifit plus, it incorperates the games and things off the wii fit (they are on the plus disc) so stick it in there and take a look :) seriously, im not telling porkies :) then after you work out which you want to do you can add them to your programe or favorites :)

hahaha wasn't sore at all actually, which surprised me a bit ! :w00t: if i want a couple of days of work, i wash my car hehe (well mainly the wheels cause last time i did, i ended up having 3 days off work!! now i make the kids do the wheels ;) )

the wii fit age thing, i think is all over the place ! :( it told me i was like 20 yrs :angry: older than wot i was, which gave the kids another excuse to laugh at mum !:rolleyes: :hehe:

oh... mmm wii fit plus, i put it in tried one or two then put in the wii fit, thought i better get used to the original games before i tried the 'plus' ones :rolleyes:

i'll give it another couple of weeks before i'm game enough to try the 'plus' game :D

i hear you on the bit about letting the kids have a go, they will seriously wipe my highest score outta the water ! then it will take me forever to get past their score!

so they can just stick to their ps2 and xbox ! :P

Hey brazen, i like the active also, but ohhh do my legs cane when it makes me do those ski'ing and jumping squat things, ouchie ouchie ahhhhhhhhhhh. I think its because it has a programe where it runs though, which makes a big difference, the standard fit never had that and we were always stopping and starting which i hated.

You can get some wrap around weights, i think the everlast ones are like dumbells arent they? you can get wrap around weights which you can put on your wrists and ankle or both and it wont affect your movement and you can use them while walking or doing chores :) I got mine from kmart and they come in all sorts of weights.

I also have the everlast step for my balance board, to take it up a bit higher - it just gives me a bit more of a workout as i found some things were too easy doing it the way the balance board was set up - was the best $35 i spent on the wii :w00t:

I love the kung fu, especially now i know how to not have that pot fall on my head and the marching would have to be one of my favorite ones :)

I got my wii fit plus the other day good fun!! :D Although i do find EA sports to be better at making me sweat it out.. i dont know maybe its the structure of the exercises, i dont do the running on it (the whole house would shake!!!) but just the stretching and stuff gives me a good workout...

the only problem i have is i get a little obsessed with the weigh ins.. people say you should only way in every week or so, daily fluctuations etc etc but with wii fit i have to have a peak every time i use it !!

im liking the kung fu thing heheh, cant get the hang of marching though ... do not have the co-ordination to be waving my arms AND stepping to the beat..

i also got the everlast weights for the controllers.. but really not sure where to use them, i guess it depends on what your doing with the controllers?

U know, its a bit sad you havent been on it for almost a year lol

i am wondering about the weight thing on the wii, i want to know is if the weights match up with the tf scales. not that it matters as it records it all and the bmi so a loss is still a loss, and a gain is still a gain, and the graph is already done, so you can see your progress easily

ohh what do you think of the wii fit plus???

well i dusted off the wii fit last nite, even went and bought wii fit plus !!! i tried the hoola-hoop (which i think is on wii fit) my kids had a great laugh at my expense! :rolleyes:

oh well i lasted 30 mins on it last nite!

i hadn't used my wii fit for like 346 days apparently ! well thats what it said last nite :(

reckons from last time i turned it on until now i've lost 2 kilos ! i must have weighed less 346 days ago than when i started TF, cause i've lost 6.3kg since i started..

oh well keep plodding along and loosing, even if it's only small amount i loose, a loss is a loss at the end of the day :)

Ok question - those of you who do the wii fit (either one) when you do the body test, and the weigh ins, do you think its roughly the same as whats in the tf centre -- do the kg match????

Ohhh did you pull it out mrs white??? we love the bowling too, its great for a family night :) we laugh and yell and blow that ball hahahahahah, yeah we are shocking here but hey we even get miss 2 playing it and miss 4 too hahahah, its great

If you like that one, you might like the beach sports game also, and the playground one -- i prefer beach sports, as its got vollyball in it :)

i really should dust my wii fit off and start using it, used it once, told me i was obese and i haven't used it since...finding the time to use it is the other problem. :( :(

wouldn't look that great using it at work cause i seriously would get some strange looks from customers that come in! hehehe i'd be like...hang on a min, just gotta finish this routine and i'll be with ya! not!!

gotta say i like wii resort... love the ten pin bowling games! :) :)

Hey, We have a wii, we have the original wii fit, but I upgraded to PLUS today lol.. yeah, my husband isnt home yet lol, so I should do it now, while I have some peace and quiet. lol.. Yeah you can connect them to the internet.. We only have mobile internet in the little key... so you cant connect it to that i dont think, but were getting normal internet soon.. so we can connect it to that.

hang on, whats it doing still in the box!!! get it out of the box!!!

ohh i had to buy a box, so i could connect the dvd, wii etc all into the tv and not have to unplug the things out of the tv -- i paid $50 at dicksmith, but i think you can buy them online heaps cheaper

whoo hooo rachy!!! just go through them and as you like em, add them to your favorites :) Some of them really hurt hahahahahahahahhaha, the hoola hoop is good, ummmmm, all the aerobics ones are good, and so are the new games for the fit plus hahahahahha

i wish i knew how to make the wii's all talk to each other, we could really have some fun then -- i know we can do it, i think we need a dongle or somethign to plug into the wii -- might have to ask the kids

haha its great, ive been exercising with it for the past week, without missing a day :)
i love that it shows how many calories u lose, and how many calories what foods have :)

Hey lauz!! guess what, there is another walking game in wiifit plus -- the kids just discovered it, its hidden under the cycling tab - you have to walk to ride the bike!!!!

So theres 4 now i have discovered where you are walking lol

The kids have just put it on, so i am going to loose my no1 spot that i have held in most things all week, ohhh well, at least i know for a week i was a champion!! hahahah

Hey Vixxin my son was looking at getting a ps3, so if you are going to sell it send me a pm and let me know costs etc. If you are going to buy one, target i think have the best package deals -- see if you can get the one with the wii fit, as that balanceboard comes in handy for so many different games.

Keep in mind buying the first wii fit game and board on ebay works out to be more expensive then in the stores - i dont know why that is but i have been trying to keep my eye open for just another board and have been watching the prices go up :(

ohh dianasaur it took me a little while to work out how to not get pots falling on my head - but i think i got it now (i hope lol), i cant remember the hame of the game but the one where your on like a motorbike cross mower thing where you need to squat and go around the beach looking for the balls now thats a fun squatting game, i finally worked out what the ending to that was -- i saw the mole steal the ball, but ohh gee, my legs will pay for that later today, that cute lil puppy i had running everywhere :)

I really like the rythem marching - thats good fun even though i got a bit out of time with the marching (well im sure the whistle stopped blowing lol). I got in and have done a fair few of them over the weekend while the girls were busy - i had to, because i know my name will only stay at top score for ohhh 2 seconds when they get on it, and they kick my butt :hehe:

The thing i really like about the wii, is not only can you do it in your own home with total privacy whenever you can, its also challanging the mind as well as the body but it makes it fun.

Hubby and i dont go ususally for the game machines, as i believe kids these days spend way to much time in front of the tv but i bought the wii for mothers day and have only bought games that make you get up off the couch. The rules in our house are simple here, if you want to play it, you must stand or follow the lead of the game - no sitting on the couch. But it is great for a sat night, or any other night when you want to bring the family together, we often stick it on and play bowling or tennis or vollyball or whatever -- even hubby will give it a go when hes home (which is fantastic to see)

It works out to be a lot cheaper for us, as just to go bowling would cost us about $100 plus dinner (ususally subway), so its already paid for itself. Only problem we have now, is we need a bigger house, and a bigger tv :) As we have a big family and a little loungeroom :w00t:

omgosh! i bought it today and AM LOVING IT!!!
ive had a wii fit for a few months now, loved that too, but wii fit PLUS is soo much better :) and i love the fact that i can have my baby dog joining in on it too, even if its a little role :P

Ohh yes there is, its like a marching one, where you use your arms also for co-ordination- its actually really good fun, similar to the raving rabbids dance thing except its walking :)

for those of you who have been thinking about the new wii fit game -- wiifit plus -- its absolutely so awesome, and so much better then wii fit (which it also sycronises with). Not only does it have an extra 69 activities, It also has training programes (including target areas eg stomach, legs, back etc) and you can even create your own training programe.

Its also got a calorie check and calorie goal as well as other features

ohh and did i mention its also MULTI PLAYER, so you can do it with friends / family

(yes it does use the balance board also but you can buy the game standalone if you already have it :)

Ohh i think someone said in the other thread its on special at kmart for $25, i bought mine off ebay for $33 inc post as i couldnt find it in the b&m stores
