Hi all.. I have noticed a few of us on here.. so share your stories here :D.

I'm Skye.. I have turned my passion into a business.. with 2 little girls it is hard sometimes, but I make my own hours, and do a lot of my work in the evenings. My 2 girls are in my siggie below - I will post some new pictures soon.

I have another session booked for 9am in the morning, so I'm in the middle of charging all my batteries etc right now!

Oh gear wise.. I have a Canon 40D and some lenses.. 50mm f1.8 mkII and my two favourites: 24-70mm f2.8L IS USM and a 70-200mm f2.8L IS USM. Also got a 580ex mkII speedlight and a home studio lighting setup. :D:D

Hi guys, as many of you would know, south east Qld has had quite a bit of rain over the past few days with huge falls last night. Some of Brisbane and the Lockyer Valley is flooded and some rivers and creeks are still rising. And there is more rain to come tonight!

I live in Toowoomba where we have been on strict level 5 water restrictions for some time now due to our dams being at 9% levels at the moment. We had very good falls last night and this past Sunday.

I just wanted everyone to pray for rain for Toowoomba and our dam levels, and also pray for people who have been effected by flood waters and the massive storm that hit The Gap in Brisbane on Sunday night. Our thoughts are with you all and hopefully things get cleaned up soon and no more nasty storms. All we want is the rain to fill our dams and rivers!!

I am due to have my wisdom teeth removed under a general anaesthetic on the 4th November - I feel really nervous and am wondering if anyone has had any good experiences ???:unsure:

at least I'll be too sore to eat probably!!!!! :)

Here's all you have to do...The first person writes a statement which the next person replies either true or false to, adding a word or two of explanation if they need to...They then add their own statement for the next person to reply to etc etc.

Hi everyone - here's an update on Hayley... it is a long story!!

As some of you would know, Hayley is Autistic.

She has had ear infection after ear infection forever. The last 3 weeks has been constant and to and from the docs. She's been miserable.

Friday she had an MRI done because her Paed wanted to scan her brain and check on things. Her head is way off the chart in size, and growing rapidly. Thursday night Hayley was up screaming about her ear until 2.30am.. then slept and woke at 5am. We were due at the hospital for the MRI at 7am anyway so I went ahead and took her early. They agreed she could still have the anaesthetic and so it was done.

Instead of being sent home that afternoon, she was sleeping and crying. I asked if we could see a doctor while we were there to save me taking her to our other doc and waiting around there. So the paed registrar came and saw her and said she had a really high temp (39.2) and her ear was so so bad. She changed her antibiotics and gave meds to bring her fever down. Then we were discharged! Hayley couldn't walk.. she was so sick. I got her to the car and took this pic on my phone:

I got her home and she was so lethargic she couldn't sit up. Just slept on the floor for 2 hours:

Then all of a sudden she starting having convulsions and a full blown seizure, so I called the ambulance and they came got her. She stopped breathing and turned blue. She started breathing again on her own but was unconcious and it was the scariest thing of my life.

We got to the hospital and they looked into her MRI results. We were not supposed to hear anything for a few weeks, when we go back to the paed. But we found out they did find something.. she has hydrocephalus (water on the brain) and it is pretty severe. They did say though, that we should wait for the paed to see is in December and said there is nothing they will do until then anyway. I got a call from our paed today (saturday) and she did say it is something she will need a stent for to help her head drain, but we will find out about that in a few weeks at our appointment.

They're putting the convulsions down to a febrile seizure for now.. unless she has more... I had no idea it would ever happen to us.

Anyway, I'm happy to report Hayley is home and sleeping (drugged up) and doing fine. She gave us a scare, but is ok now. Tayla was sooo good going wherever we sent her.. staying home with DH without me (huge for her as normally she'd scream for me!). I bought the girls the new Tinkerbell movie today (had to stop at the shops LOL) and the 3 of us girls snuggled up and watched it tonight. It was so nice and Tayla loved the movie! Hayley slept.

So next is the ENT appt mid December to book her in for grommets FINALLY!! And Paed appt is also mid December to talk about the brain surgery to insert a stent. I will keep you updated!

Ok I need to go sleep.. it's 12.40am again. I'm praying for 7 hrs sleep if I hurry and go! xxxxxxxx Thanks for thinking of us xxxxxxxx

Just wondering about surgery and if anyones here has gone through surgery for a boob job or tummy tuck? or tightened skin...??? My boobs just aint what they used to be after 2 kids and then loosing 30 kilos... I have sooo much skin on them and for some reason Ive gone down a cup size too!!!! I am now a B and always been a C.

So is there anyone with positive stories regarding this or who want to share nasty stories as well? I am really interested... my hubby likes me the way I am but I like how I used to be before kids haha maybe I just need to learn how to age gracefully. The only surgery Ive had is 2 c sections from 10 pounder plus bubs... And I know how horrible that was to recover from... so any stories regading cosmetic surgery???

I have 9 x caramel bliss shakes and 26 x Chocolate Mousse desserts from Medical Vita Diet available. The use by dates for the caramel ones are 2/4/2010 and the mousse are 17/4/2010.

These are gluten free not just no added gluten.

Selling as everything other than choc shakes seems to upset my stomach lately.

I am looking for $100 for the lot which works out at about $2.85 each. I will cover postage.

Details are: 45g each, 170 calories, 10.4g protein, 27g carbs, 1.8g fibre, 1.2g fat.

Hi all you TFers out there, well im off today to start a big project, I am starting a charity organisation called [b]C4AC [/b]( cruizin for a cure) a friend and i will be walking from Sydney to Cairns next year to raise money for cancer research:P we have plans for further walks for different charities throughout Australia, we are heading for the tax dep and banks to set up and we will need all the support we can get, Will post more as we progress, so between training and paperwork i will find the time to say hi and report on my loss still:D

Eyeliner Tattooing

Hi Gang!

I'm thinking about getting my eyeliner tattoo'd on - simply because i'm one of those people who wipe my eyes alot, and by the end of the day my eyes are just an ugly black smudgy mess.

Has anyone had this done? (Overseas, in australia) How much does it cost? Does it hurt like a b!tch? Is it a stupid idea? Please let me know. :)

What types of rewards do you give yourself and have you found it gave you extra motivation? I would like to set myself a reward for when i reach 10 kilos lost. I was thinking it might be to buy a TF cook book or a steamer for my veggies.

I would love some other ideas though!

Ok i have a question, i work in a small office theres 4 of us. I have just started having shakes again after having a month of trying to loose weight myself which wasn't bad lost a bit gained a bit, but seen as though i have another 30+ to loose wanted to come back on the shakes 'cause i know it works and i need to see the scales move for motivation!.

Anyway the other 3 are having morning tea in the lunch room, i've gone to fill my water bottle up and was asked "So is it easier to just have the shakes rather than just exercising more?" my response was "It is for now". This came from someone who's partner is also on the program!!!. It's made me so cranky!!!!! I wanted to say (ok yell) "have you tried to loose 50+kgs??, while forever arguing with the little demons in your head??" :angry: :angry:,i nearly cried! anyway my question is am i overreacting? All comments welcome, sorry needed to vent - can't really do it here as i have to work with them all.

There is nothing that makes my blood boil more when people intentionally want to hurt or kill animals just for the sake of it

In recent days, a dog has been hanged, another dog burnt, and 20 chickens slaughtered. They are saying it could be kids doing this as its school holidays, and police are about to lay charges (according to ch10 news)

What sort of people whould do this for fun? What sort of appropriate penalty should be handed out to those caught?

I think If catch anyone hurting an animal, Id just lose it and probably end up in jail myself !!!

Anyway - that was all. It says in my pink bible here that i should boast about my progress because it's an ego booster and keeps me dedicated to the program. I am loving going around telling everyone i'm finally 20 kilos lighter than when i started. Now i just need to be able to tell people i'm 38 kilos lighter than when i started and i'll be set!!!

Hi everyone,

Can any one tell me if they have heard anything about a new book out saying we can eat with our shakes if we feel like a pizza we can have it or Macdonalds etc the bad food out lets. Im just inquireing as a friend of mine went to the TF centre and was told about this book yesterday. Im going to ring the centre a bit later to fined out a bit more. It just does not sound right to me. Thats why Im asking if any one else has heard any thing about it.

my boyfriend asked me to marry him tonight at dinner! we were at a thai restaurant for our one year anniversary together and he was telling m how much he loved me then got up to hug me but then got on one knee and said will you marry me! i thought he was shit stirring me but pulled out the most gorgeous white gold diamond ring! i nearly fainted!!!! oh and of course i said yes!!!

There are a few of us in the chat room at the moment and we are discussing tat's and piercings, yes we do talk about Tf, but we are regulars in there.

So I thought, being a sticky-beak and all, I would start a thread on who has what and for what reasons they got it.

I have no tat's as yet, want one after I have lost 20kgs, with my kids names in it some how and I have always wanted one. And piercings, my ears and my labret (under lip on chin sort of).

I was just in my bathroom, and i thought shaving my pits and legs was nessersary.

Anyhoo, I can actually shave my pits without having to pin half my arm skin to my nose :hehe:

Then I thought if I don't shave my legs I'll have to call Greenpeace to obtain logging rights !!!

I just lifted my leg up onto the sink and off I went. Purfect job too I might add. :cool:

I guess to some people this means nothing, but to me it means everything. It's been over 10 years since I could shave my own legs !!!!!!!!

Just simple little things I notice that I can do now, like the above like checking the mail without having to have a nanny nap, or hanging out the washing in one go.

What about you.?????

Hi everyone,

It has been a very very long time since I went out at night (2 kids in 2 years) but I am very excited to say that I am going to the Billy Joel concert in Sydney in Dec. I am using this as a motivator to lose this weight and am wanting to treat myself to something nice to wear (hopefully in my "normal" size) by then. Prob is that I have no idea what to wear to something like this. Any advice gratefully received.

This Charity is very personal to me as it was set up to help kids like my niece Taylah who was born with Long QT syndrome, its a heart defect that very little information and research is done. Taylah is only 4 years old and her 4th birthday she had her second heart attack and had to be revived her life is much smoother now as she has had a pace maker/defibrillator fitted and it gives our family a little bit more piece of mind.:D

favourite books

so, i'm usually a big reader, but lately i haven't found anything good to read. Was wondering if anyone could suggest any good books. I tend to flick between a few genres. Recently i read the Across the Wall trilogy which was supernatural-ey kind of fantasy, but im also a big fan of books like Eat Pray Love, and The Last Lecture (that AWESOME book by Randy Pausch. If you haven't read it... READ IT!). But i'm starting to go crazy - i haven't had a good book to read in months!

Which is why i'm putting it to you, fellow Tfers... what are your favourite books? I promise i'll check em out.

Well yesterday i was just looking around and i came across a post regarding new allowed veggies and other things, it said something like:

We can now have Pumpkin, peas,corn and other things. I spoke to my consultant at last nights weigh in and she new nothing about it, she asked me to print it off and show her so she could find out more about it. Now do u think that i can find this post!!!! NOOOOOOO. i searched for it but my comp keeps freezing on a search.

Could you please HELP me!!!!???
