THat is my mantra today "4 weeks 4 kgs" because I actually only had a 0.2 loss this week.
Dh has flown out of state for a few days - on Father's day no less!

I saw that another poster had started a blog of sorts and really liked the idea. Feel free to post replies or PM me.

This week I feel like I've 'worked' the program pretty well

Exercise : 30 minute walk and 40 mins netball on Monday, work Tuesday, walked kids to school Wed (maybe 20mins?), Pilates Thursday, work Friday, 45 min walk with dh Saturday, 45 min walk today. Ok that's four days out of seven. At work I do a fair bit of walking, I'd guess at least 40 a day because my department is a good 10 minute walk from the main building and I have to go back and forth several times!

Alcohol: none, nary a drop

Water: this is my bad point. Some days I'm lucky to get a glass in. I'm working on that - trying to keep a 1 litre bottle near my computer at work, and I have a water bottle in my study at home.

Challenges: went for a walk this morning with a friend. She was hungover so she ate a chocolate bar as we walked!!!!! and then had a sausage roll and sauce when we finished, as we were watching soccer. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH the smell of chocolate.

INterestingly I have two friends who seem very down at the moment, and are both unhappy that they are gaining weight. I have found my mood to be pretty UP since being back on TF.

This week's challenge will be to cook and eat good meals with DH out of town, i"m sure my kids would happily eat baked beans on toast every night!

I was making a lunch salad today and I"m feeling a bit bored so I think I need to mix it up a bit with the veges

The First Week....

Hi,

I have just started on the program (2 days in) and seem to be having all the "normal" symptoms that I have read about but I just wanted to ask for any advice / tips on how to get through the first week or two (basicly the hard part while your body adjusts to the new diet etc).

Thanks in advance and bring on the new skinny me!:D

Dave

Any one want to shake swap???

being a chocolate freak before tf i thought i would love the chocolate flavour shakes but i just cant stomach them...

i live in perth wa, but would be willing to post anywhere....

i have 14 chocolate shakes....id be willing to swap for any banana, wild berry, french vanilla...maybe not so much espresso but if thats all uve got ill take it..

also i wouldnt mind trying some of the soups so would be willing to swap them for soups to

just pm me if your interested :)

steph xoxox

Still waiting on my surgery.. was supposed to be within 30 days.. It was meant to be an overnite stay in hospital but turned into a nightmare week. The surgery went well but I have had complications from Day 2 onwards. I sought advice a couple weeks back as I had just begun my TF journey again and was stoked at getting down to 80.2 kgs. My goal is 75 kgs.

Some thoughtful people told me that my body needed all the right nutrients to recover (including carbs). I took this on the chin and thought righto I can do this and allow myself 2-3 weeks revoery before getting back into the swing of things.....well one week in and Im not so sure.

I wont bore u all with details but I am on a VERY SLOW road to recovery. I had organised 2 weeks off work but now may be looking at 3 or 4 weeks. My poor body has really been through the wringer this past week and I feel completely out of control.

I didnt eat much at all for the first 2 days - then felt well and was ravenous so had food I would normally wouldnt touch. I felt guilty about it but moved on. The hospital food is not the greatest but I did my best to eat what i could and being a diabetic i had to be extra careful. Let's just say it was carb city!

I had 2 days where I felt so nauseous I could't hold any food down. I am in a more stable condition now but know that I have to be really careful about what I eat. I'm terrified that the carbs are gonna pile the weight back on and I have worked far too hard to let that happen.:crying:

I have promised not to weigh myself for at least another week as my body is still swollen from the surgery and I am menstruating so I wouldnt get a realistic idea anyway. I hate feeling out of control. I know my main worry should be getting better and being mobile etc. I'm more worried about the fact that I cant exercise for at least a month!!!:w00t:

I'm going out of my mind with worry yet I find myself really looking forward to the light custard and low sugar icecream dessert tonite.

Can anyone give me some words of inspiration? I need help!

Lets Quit Smoking together!

Hopefully this can be made a sticky (please?)

Okay. He told me that he 'won' a voucher at the hairdressers off the radio, but i had to be there at 8.30am. He took the kids all day, and sent me to the hairdressers and got there on time and when i got there, there were 4 people waiting for me. They asked me what i wanted (well i didnt know) so i said perform magic :) Well, They cut and coloured and foiled and waxed, and the whole time the mirror was covered over.

Well, at 1pm they uncovered the mirror and boy oh boy they did perform some magic -- i love the new look they gave me, my grey bits were all gone (and so was the length). Hubby asked me how i felt, and i said i love it, i feel like me again (what a daft thing to say huh)

After they finished their magic, i went to my tf pharmacy and the consultant even complimented me :) and when i came home, all hubby could say was wow, that looks alright (for a mm that means ohhlala!!) and a friend came over last night, and he said what have you done (he hasnt seen me since before i started on the tf journey)

He said have you dyed your hair, i said huh, lol, and kept him wondering. Later on i came out wearing a pair of trackpants and tshirt, and our friend was saying, you have done something i cant quite pick it but geez you look hot lol -- he still hasnt worked it out lol, ohh well

I have the best hubby in the world :) (and the best hairdresser also) It was just what i needed.

ohh and before you ask, yes he has brothers but they are in the uk :)

Photo Session Advice

Hi all,
I need some advice. I have been given a opportunity to participate in a photographic session (like they advertise on TV) with barely any costs for me.

My problem is that I don't know if i should do it or not. I am more comfortable behind the camera.

For years growing up my grandmother would always take 'surprise' photos of you just as you took a bite or had your mouth full, and then when the film came back would show them around the whole family - needless to say that just contributes to why I don't like having my photo taken.

I also don't like how I look in photos because I don't look like I feel, not saying I feel like Cindy Crawford, but I don't feel like the overweight frump in the photo (or at least I didn't when I was getting dressed) :ermm:

Also, the offer has a time limit, so if I get the photos done now, at my current weight, what is going to be the point when I continue to lose weight?

Maybe I think about things too much, I have been told I spend too much time in my head, but I, if I do the photo's, would be the sole focus 'cos there is no other half, no kids (or even a dog and cats don't travel all that well).

Has anyone else done one of these?

How did it all go down?

Were you satisfied with the results?

Any other advice?

Water Intake

Hi,

I was just wondering how you manage to drink your 2Ltrs of water a day? I am struggling to drink that amount, it's weird, i don't feel like drinking water during the day and forget to as well (flat out busy working) but i do find i tend to drink more water at night (end up peeing 3-4 time a night too). Any help and tips would be great :)

Tasha

When You Thinks Its All Too Hard.....

With a tear in my eye and hope in my heart, i thought this was absolutely amazing.
