I look at my wedding photos now an SO regret that I didn't do this years ago - before my wedding. I had a friend come around and when she saw my wedding photos and looked at me she said that I looked like a different person. I've also had people comment that I look younger now that I've lost the weight, it's probably the confidence and the "bounce" in your step that you get when you feel good! I'm only 155cms so at 70kgs I felt massive. I looked like a pregnant round ball with no waist - well that's how I saw myself anyway. I think I'll post before and after pictures once I've reached my goal. Keep in touch with how you're doing on progress.

RE: Progress

Thanks Cairns Mum, goodluck to you as well. After all these years its nice to finally have my head in the right frame of mind for loosing this weight. I know 2 years ago I said I wouldn't be fat at forty but another 2 years down the track I'm finally getting there, even if it is slower and takes a little longer than I expected, I 'm determined to get there. The 8 kgs I've lost so far has made all the difference to how I look and feel, I was bursting out of a 16 and an e cup plus I'm only 158cm short, looked and felt like a little sumo, but feel heaps better in my 12 to 14 size. This year I was really stressing about my birthday, even put the tf consultant on the spot and asked how old she thought I was, she thought I look ed younger than what I am so that was a nice confidence burst.

RE: Progress

Well done Tracey. I've been doing tony since early October, so the consultant said it might help if I changed to progress, my weightloss is really slow, after about 28 years of dieting or so, I've just come to the conclusion to be patient if I do stuff up I get straight back on the next day. It is nice to be able to have something that you really miss once a week and not feel guilty. I had potato the first week for tea, and burgen toast with poached eggs and 2 slices cheese for breakfast, so much to eat in one sitting, really struggled. But at the end of the week it did work, got me out of the plateau I'd been in for ages. The good thing is you can change back and forth from weightloss to progress each week if you like. Hope it goes well for you, see how we go this week.

RE: Progress

Hi tracey68, i am going on to progress on thursday and am absolutely terrified i'll stop losing. Hearing that you are still losing has made me feel a little better they are going to try me for 2 weeks & see how I go It's been 4 weeks since i've had pasta, bread or potato and i am looking forward to getting one of them back - even once or twice a week

RE: Progress

Hi everyone, just wanted to share, last week I went onto progress because my weight has been up and down since December. I stuck to weightloss pretty much except for the odd slip up every now and then so tf consultant put me onto progress, when it come to crunch time to eat the bread I was allowed I felt absolutely terrified, all the time whilst eating it telling and convincing myself its ok to eat it. Amazing the power food has over you. Anyway I got through the week , and I lost 900 grams and another cm from waist. Progress has got me loosing again. I'm looking forward to friday as I'm having pizza for my loved meal, special treat for my birthday.

So if anyone out there is worrying about progress, give it a go.

RE: Progress

you guys are lucky you get the magazine in south africa we have none.....please can we get the issues to!

RE: Progress

how are you going on progress rach???

RE: Progress

Im starting on the progress programme tomorrow. Thank god Lizzy read my post and suggested I go on this other wise I dont think I wouldve lasted the weekend let alone another week. As much as I would love to lose weight quickly, I know my limits and my body. I often give up if i plateau and stay the same weight for months, now I know that I can see some one in the Terry White chemist that can put me on to the progress program to kick start my system again. You are right, people lose at different speeds both on the weightloss program and the progress program. if it helps you to stick to the program then that's all that matters. If you are struggling to eat the bread and aren't enjoying it maybe cut back or drop it out again. I know since I started TF I struggle to eat any complex carbs. I really notice how bloated and windy I feel after. That's good cause then it will help me to maintain the weightloss if I know how bad I feel when I eat them.Good luck on your weightloss! :-)

RE: Progress

I have started Progress 2 weeks ago. I introduced bread 3 days a week, but am finding it hard to eat it now. I also am finding i'm loosing less weight on progress too! I am also allowed 2 anzac bickies 3 days a week. You can tell them whatever you want to introduce instead of the 2nd shake, but i found i lost more having the two shakes. It works well for some. So far two weeks in, i'm not sure. You can go back any day to tf consultant to change the introduced "loved" foods to something else. They just tell you how often you can have it.

RE: Progress

was ery disappointed to visit my local sumsalad to be told they don't 'do' Tony Ferguson salads anymore!!!

RE: Progress

i have found the progress plan a little more easier as now i can have my favourtie food once a week and still loose weight but i am still having trouble with the i foods that i can and can't have alicia

RE: Progress

lol i did it! I go to the Curves Fitness Centre 3 times a week and they started a weight management programme, which ran over 6 weeks and worked on the basis of High Protein, Low Carb, so it worked the same as TF only with real food. The first week I lost 1.5kg, and have lost consistently each week approximately 0.5kg. I believe that my body works better on a low GI program than any other diet or weight loss program I have been on. Thanks TF for kick starting me in the right direction. I also eat more than I have ever eaten before, with 5 meals a day each one including a protein, and I don't have to go without my fruit. I have not had a biscuit or chocolate for 2 months. I guess if I can do it anyone can. I am the lowest weight I have been for a long time. I think that I will go and grab a copy of the TF magazines just for the recipes or other information that it might contain. Knowledge is Power.Cheers

RE: Progress

Id love to be able to reintroduce some favorite foods that I miss, but as quoted in the book these foods are prescribed to you by your Tony Ferguson Practioner. But my point is how do a lot of us do that when you only do the program thru online ordering and the support of the forum. It sounds like a great program to do but im a little scared to just self prescribe. However Id love to see a Tony Ferguson Clinic come to Lithgow or Bathurst.

RE: Progress

I am considering trying progress, I have the book and also the book by Blair West. What I would really like to see is a designated section of the forum for "progress" as it really is different to the usual program e.g it recommends bread 4 mornings a week etc.I dont feel the forum provides adequate support or allocation of resources and space for the progress program

Progress

Who has questions about the new Tony Ferguson Progress?
