I had to go back to the storage closet to find some of my older cloths and decided to try on my old "fat" clothes..and they were a bit too small.. I actually looked to see if I was somehow putting them on wrong (yep, denial isn't just a river in Egypt..).

Wandered down to the chemist and stocked up on TF stuff when the young lady asked if I wanted to weight-in to get a base line. My look of horror at the prospect must have scared her a little as she took a little pace back. But I man'ed up and promptly discovered I am now a robust 117.3kg's. So, now wearing jeans that are a little too tight (and realization why my chair has started creaking) I am starting off my journey to 87kg's..again.

Cheers

Ian

New Start Journey

Hi all,

So this is my second week on TF and on Monday 24th December I went in for my first Weigh in. I lost 1.1kg and 2cm from the waist. Previous to starting TF I had already lost 2 clothes sizes. (Not sure how much that would be in kg.) So I was really pleased with that result.

The first week was pretty difficult for me. It’s such a hard time of year to start a new healthy lifestyle. Every day at work we had Christmas lunch celebrations for all our clients who attend our service. This meant a whole lot of food that I couldn’t eat. (Pizza, cakes, lollies, chips, bbq's ect.) But I did really well. I stuck to my TF Shake.

I have been struggling to eat the 5 meals a day. I’m used to having Morning tea, lunch and dinner. It’s hard to understand that eating more food will help you to lose weight. But I have come to understand it’s important for my metabolism and that I’m eating 5 good meals. (Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Dinner.)

This week I feel I have done really well sticking to the TF Meal plans, although I did miss my morning and afternoon tea yesterday.

After Dinner this week has been a struggle, I’ve been craving all the wrong foods. But I won the battle and did not give in! One night I knew I needed something to settle the craving so I had ¼ of a TF Jelly, it seemed to help a lot, which was great as the TF Jelly is unlimited.

My next weigh in is on Thursday 3rd January, 2013. I’m pretty nervous, I really hope for a good result! Being on TF and knowing I have to weigh in each week has really helped me keep on track. I would hate to go in and find out I have put on weight.

I am working to reach my goal weight in 2013!

Good luck to all, with your weight loss journey! All the best for the New Year! :)

Clemsnoopy's weight loss journey

This is one of a few attempts to 'get healthy' in various ways (group training, high protein diets etc) but my first time trying Tony Ferguson. This time I think I'm onto a winner, am doing the program with my housemate who is a similar weight to me and has the same amount to lose. So far the TF plan seems to fit in well with my lifestyle and I am really excited to be heading towards weighing in the 60's which I haven't done since I was a child (I'm only 23). I love that TF continues to support you through the transition back to 'normal' eating in the new normal phase, which might give me a chance to maintain any weight I loose.

I have 3 top motivations for losing weight: to be able to buy clothes from all types of shops (not just ones that have big sizes), to be slimmer/fitter for my hobby (have horses and ride/compete), and to manage my health issues before they become major (have had ovarian cancer, have PCOS and am heading towards insulin resistance/diabetes type 2).

My first mini-goal is 90kg where I'll buy myself a new piece of jewellery to remember my achievement by :)

Well this was my first week on TF and I was really good (easy to do when something is new and exciting). Had my first weigh-in today and lost 1.4kg, so now am 4.3kg off my first mini goal! Unfortunately the lovely girl I signed up with last week wasn't in yet and the guy I had was rather useless so I'm in here for motivation instead.

My main struggle is eating enough veggies, drinking enough water and not snacking in between 'meals' as per the TF plan. But will keep plodding along!

I'm hoping to keep updating this thread as a kind of blog, hope it hasn't bored anyone to sleep yet... So many of the stories I've read on this forum as amazing, and I hope to be able to change my life for the better as so many of you have done.

I'm So Happy .................

Hi Everyone,

Another 800 grams gone for good this week. Due to physical constraints I can't exercise at all, so this will be a slow effort on my part. My first goal is for May this year as we are having a holiday. I would like to see at least 10kgs go off over a 20 week timeframe. As you can see from my blinkies, I have lost over 30 kgs in the past, but of course some of that has gone back on, so now I am on a fresh start for a new year. The last two weeks have been good losing 1.2 kilos each week and 6cm the first week and .4cms the next week.

This week however I remained the exact same weight and (probably due to a different woman measuring me) lost .1cm.

I was wondering if that was just a normal part of everything, I've followed the programme properly, although I did have a loved meal this week, and two loved snacks. I also know that my monthly pain the neck causes me to bloat a bit, but didn't think that would affect the weight too much.

I'm just curious as I've never taken my measurements on a regular basis and until 4 weeks ago I had no clue what I weighed as I've just never been interested in keeping track.

Thanks in advance!

Ps Sorry for the newbie question!

Back for the big day

I joined the Tony Ferguson program in Jan 2012. After a long battle with a very abusive ex i took some time out, re couped went overseas for 6 months and when i got back a friend of mine was weighing himself and out of curiosity i thought i would jump on and have a look.

Wow! I was 91.1 kg and although I had struggled with weight all my life I had never been that big. It was at that moment i decided that my life needed a change. I started the TF proram and lost 25kg by the August. I have been able to maintain my weight of 66kg for 6 months.

However, on my weightloss journey I also met the man of my dreams we are now getting engaged in 8 weeks time. I would love to get from 66 kg to under 60 for the engagment. However for some reason although maintaining hasnt been a problem at all, loosing again has. It is driving me crazy. I have about 10 kg to lose. I have spent the last year eating myself fatter. The breakdown of my cherished marriage 2 years ago and the loss of my eldest son a year before that changed my life. As horrible as it all was, I lost a lot of weight during that time and was a size 8. It felt so good being slim. It was one good thing.... I liked myself. But I had to sabotage that didn't I and so after moving to this beautiful seaside beach town in South Australia, and living alone for the first time in years, what did I do........ I ate!
Well it's time to take stock and get back to normal so I can wear some of the lovely clothes in my cupboard and start feeling good about myself instead of hiding in loose frumpy clothes. My face has even gotten fatter and I hate that. I feel so bad about myself that I have been pparalyzedon some days. That iisn'tme.
I am going to try hard and feel good about the choice I've made. I love the taste of my morning shake.... chocolate ..... which I heat up and have like a choccy cappuccino I love salads and vegetables so that won't be hard. It's nice to come onto this website and read the posts in this forum. Thank you to those out there who seek to inspire and help us newbies. Ok, bye for now..... my first week ahead and I hope I lost one or two kilos. That will put a smile on my face because I know I will be heading the other way. Have a good day everyone. Be kind to yourselves.... it all starts there.

Hotchpotch weighs in

Hope this is the last time I start out
I am 5' 9" and 17st 10lbs today (day 1) and my waist measurement is 47", BMI 36.7
Okay that's the hard bit over - wish me well
I will post a mini goal when I recover from admitting to that lot

Week 1 weigh in.

I was very happy to see today that I lost 1.9 kgs on my first weigh in :D:D:D
Looking forward to next week :)

Weigh-in disappointment

Hi all,

Weighed in this morning and only lost 300gms, last week only lost 100gms. My progress has slowed down totally and I don't understand why. This past week, I have changed having my dinner at lunch time and the shake for dinner. I guess I should be happy with losing a little weight, it's week eight and I guess things do slow down a little.

I'm actually a little bored with the program(have been bored for the past week), although, I kept to the diet. I've actually eaten a half a packet of pretzels today, but will be back to eating my normal dinner tonight. I have a birthday party to attend to tomorrow, so am determined to stick to healthy eating while attendingthis event.

New starting weight for my 5 month journey.

Hi guys, just posting my new starting weight to get the ball rolling on the shake rattle and roll program. I went for my first weigh in yesterday and purchased 2 week's supply of shakes so it is all happening now. My main goal at this stage is a holiday my hubby and I are taking to the Blues on Broadbeach Festival in May 2013. This gives me around 21 weeks to lose a few kgs to make it easier to get around. In case anyone is wondering about the kilo loss blinkies it is from my last tour of duty here, I have decided to leave them on the post as encouragement.

28/12/2012 --- 136.4 kgs.

Weigh In Week 8

Hi all,

Weighed in this morning and only lost 100grams, I guess that's better than putting on weight. I knew in the back of my mind, that last weeks large weight loss would affect this weeks weigh in. Was hoping that I would have lost 8kgs up till now. I need to think logically

weekly weigh-in

hi all,

Weighed in this morning to find I've lost another 1.8kgs, am excited, though a little worried. I feel this is too much weight to lose in a week, though I did over do it over Christmas and am so determined to keep up with the program.

I'm really enjoying this website, as I am able to read up on delicious recipes. I'm not the only one trying to lose weight.
