I joined TF Tuesday week ago and when I weighed in this Tuesday I had lost 2 kgs. Not too sure about this loss as I think most of it may have been fluid loss, but I look forward to seeing what the scales say next week! Wow, 5 kgs in a month - bring it on!!!!!:)

RE: Do U want to lose 5kgs a month

hi, just wondering how much excersise you guys are doing to reach the 5kg a month goal?

RE: Do U want to lose 5kgs a month

Can I join PLEASE ....
GOAL HERE I COME
RE: Do U want to lose 5kgs a month

Hi there I would like to join the lose 5kgs a month group. Knock the exercise on the head. Doing that much, have you been adding an extra serve of protein? If you work out that much you need to add it in, otherwise your muscles will starve and your body will start to hold onto everything and slow down the weight loss.

TF was not designed to do a lot of exercise. Actually, you don't need to do any at all while on the diet, you just need to do your normal daily activity. I lost about 7.1 kgs in the first month and didn't do any exercise at all. Hell, I barely moved off the couch lol. If you were doing that much exercise before, then keep going just up the protein, but if you weren't, then your body has two competing things going on it needs to work on, lose weight and build muscle. Think about cutting it back to a 30-45 minute walk at a brisk pace at least 4 times a week, every day if possible. You will get there in the end hun.

RE: Do U want to lose 5kgs a month

don't worry wedge. I know how you feel, but just keep doing what your doing maybe cut down on some of the exercise to just half an hour or an hour a day.
You are most likely gaining muscle (but thats a good thing! because it'll help you burn the fat...) i was 79kg and i'm now down to 75.5kg after 3 weeks.... i've only been having small losses the last 2 weeks but that's because i've been doing extra exercise (1 hr or more a day)... you should be able to see a difference in your body even if you aren't losing weight on the scales.
Also make sure you're drinking your 2L of water a day!:)

RE: Do U want to lose 5kgs a month

well week 1 = 600gm loss

hhmm

dont think im going to make the 5kg in a month. theres not much more i can do to loose weight. i have been doing 2 and a half hours of excersise everyday. and thats all i have time for.

im really hatin this atm!! whats the point of not eating chocolate and all the other goodies if nothings happening on the scales!!

oh well bowing out for the day a 74.3kg

RE: Do U want to lose 5kgs a month

Ok Im up for 5kg in the next 4 weeks

Small goals at a time hey!!

So atm I weigh 74.9kgs.

I will drop in in a week to report!!

RE: Do U want to lose 5kgs a month

yay! What i would do is cut it into pieces and stew it, then add a few splenda when its done, for sweetness and sprinkle cinnamon on top. If you do want to bake it, peal it, core it and place on tray in over on about 180 for 30-45 minutes. It should be soft but not burnt. Cutting it in half might help as well.

What I am going to try next week, is making a vanilla shake into ice cream (make with 150ml water and put in freezer for about 5 hours), then I'll steam the apple and have ice cream and hot apple for dessert! yum. My main meal is at lunch each day, so it will just by my usual evening shake.

RE: Do U want to lose 5kgs a month

HI Lilac,

Thats a great idea, I think I will save the fruit and replce with vegies, duh never thought to do that! Do you just bake the apple whole or what do you do? I have never done that before! I am taking the chromium but only one a day so i wills tart to have two as well and see if that helps. I do notice they make a differnce though, its amazing.

Have a weigh in on Saturday, so fingers crossed! To show a loss, when you are replacing fat with muscle, means you've actually lost more fat than that, so that's awesome!

Are you taking the chromium? It really does help, I take 2 every day. I missed the other day and only took 1 yesterday and I'm really noticing the difference now. Also, think about saving one or both of your fruit serves to have later in the evening after dinner. You can have unlimited veggies in their place during the day. That way you can have, say a baked apple with splenda and cinnamon, and part of an allowed yoghurt for a dessert. Might do the trick.

Lilac.

RE: Do U want to lose 5kgs a month

Hi Everyone,

I only lost 200 g this week, butl ost 3 cm off my waist. I am exercising three mornings a week so I know I am building muscle at the same time, so i was happy with that.

I think i am getting better with the cravings now and am falling into a pattern with the food and shakes. I mostly have issues at night after dinner, so tonight I made so much jelly and snakes just to have a sweet fix, so hopefully I can stay on track. Did you give yourself a pat on the back? I'm in week 5 now and I have almost no cravings anymore. I did the first few weeks. That told me my system was just learning to get used to the new way of eating. Once you do, you won't know yourself. How are you going with the water? That really is the key. It helps so much to take hunger away. I often have one of my allowed decaf coffees when I get a bit peckish, it helps to put something in the tum and cut down the hunger.

RE: Do U want to lose 5kgs a month

hi there,

I am joining this for some motivation...I am in week three and so far have lost 1.9kgs, weigh in on saturday (3rd weigh in).

My goal is to get to 80 kilos first, then I will see how I feel and go from there.

I am OK most days, but do have my days, today i wanted bread so much, but I did not succumb!
