Hi there, just wondering if someone could tell me where to find this wine online? Is it the south african wine? Im in NZ just wondering if it is stocked here, this wine sounds like i need to taste it hehe

Heya,

Thanks for that... I went to Dan Murpheys in QLD yesterday and they don't stock the McWilliam's line. They do, however offer a Lindemans low carb white wine with the cab sav at 0.68g of carbs per 150ml serve. The classic dry white is 1.2g of carbs per 150ml serve. They also have a red wine but I didn't get the info.

I asked my Tony Ferguson lady about it and she said the just research how mangy grams of carbs were in standard white wine (answer: 2.5g - 3.5g of carbs per 150ml glass). She then suggested to have a shake for breakfast, protein meal for lunch and skip the evening meal replacement.... Then I could have the whole bottle for my treats this week. :D

The Lindemans line is called "Early Harvest" and is also low joule.

Apparently the red was not very nice - so they revamped it up ... I can tell you though - the white is VERY nice

Hi Everyone,

Turboghostie, don't want to steal your thunder with Balance but Lindemans Early Harvest has been out for nearly two years. Low Carb/Low Alc available in all Dan Murphys, First Choice and most other bottle shops - it is even on quite a few restaurant wine lists now.

Low Alc = 8.5% compared to average 12% Carbs range from .69 to 2.1 g per 150ml

The range includes: Semillion Sauvignon Blanc, Crisp Dry White, Sparkling and a Rose and will be launching a Shiraz in the next couple of months.

I GOT SOME :) i MANAGED TO TRACK DOWN BALANCE IN PERTH. DAN MURPHY'S HERE HAD NEVER HEARD OF IT BUT LEEDERVILLE LIQOUR HAS IT. I WAS GOING TO WEIGHT UNTIL AFTER TOMORROWS WEIGH IN TO TRY IT. I PURCHASED IT ON SATURDAY, BUT HAD A VERY HECTIC DAY YESTERDAY AT WORK SO HAD A GLASS WITH TEA , IT IS NOT BAD !! AND IS ON A PARR WITH MOST OF MCWILLIAMS SAUGVINON BLANC.WILL REPORT ON THE SHIRAZ IN DUE COURSE. BY THE WAY IT IS $19 A BOTTLE ABOUT A QUARTER THE COST OF MY USUALL WHITE. SO THAT IS A SAVING TOO ;)

My boyfriend works at Dan Murphys here in Maitland, so when he gets home I will ask him if he knows whether its stocked at their store. If so... im buying some! :P

Do you know what the kj/calorie value is of the 150ml serve...

I found that yellowglens jewel pink still has 6% alcohol in it, that is more than the average beer. Not a bad drop either - it is more like Mateusse than the original Pink bubbly though

My hubby works at McWilliams wines and they have just released a LOW CARB Red and White.

The White is a Sav Blanc called "Balance"

The nutritional info is as such per serve (150ml):
Protein 0.3g
Fat Total <0.1g
Fat Sat <0.1g
Carbs Total 1.5g
Carbs Sugar 0.47g
Sodium 46mg

The red is a Shiraz also called "Balance"
The nutritional info is as such per serve (150ml):
Protein <1.0g
Fat Total <0.1g
Fat Sat <0.1g
Carbs Total 3g
Carbs Sugar 0.62g
Sodium <5mg
