While on the program, we recommend you have 3 cups of tea and decaffinated coffee in total per day.

Why is 3 cups reccomended?

Got water?

Guess who's bringing sexy back?

Before I started TF I was drinking (gulp) up to 2ltrs or feel good iced coffe per day and maybe a 600ml Coke and 0 water.

I have been on the diet (nearly a week, not long I know) I feel so much better. For 3 days before I started I weaned myself down to two a day (still 1200 ml) then cut myself off completely.

Only had a slight headache for about a day and a half then it went away just as quick as it came. I was completely surprised as I had been drinking that much for approximately 4 years.

Can't believe I was so silly as to wonder why my weight jumped so much

Thanks TF, with your help I'll be fit, healthy and HOT yet

I just wanted to post that when my very premature twins were in intensive care they were given caffeine in their diets, one of the factors to help them put on a little weight and give them a kickstart!

Also i have just started the program and have gone from drinking about 1.5litres of coke a day, sometimes more, to the caffeine free gold coke. I had the worst headache for the first 48 hours and now i am fine. After three days i went back to Terry White to get the multivitamin in the program and thought i might sneak a peek at whether i had lost any weight and i had lost 1.5kilos! that is in 3 days! I dont care what science is-the fact is in results! My daughters put on weight when they had the caffeine and i have already lost!

Wow what an eye opener,   I have put on about 10kg in the last 5 years or so.

I couldn't understand why as i have never been a big eater and my diet hasn't changed in this time.

But after reading the posts, i realised that i gave up working full time when i had my daughter and started to drink coffee,  lots and lots of coffee.

I used to drink about 2 -3 a day prior to stopping work,  since then my consumption has increase to 10 -15 per day.  Wow.  could this be the weight increase factor.

Today i purchased decaf and i have had two cups with lite milk.   I am keeping upto my 2 ltrs of water and i am very very interested in seeing how the lack of caffeine is going to affect me.

Thanks for the info....

Tina, just keep in mind that if you were a big coffee drinker, you'll probably go through caffeine withdrawls and have headaches.

Perserve, get some good headache tablets and drink heaps of water.

I truly love chocolate but I am not addicted to it as I am to caffeine.  I like to start my day with a big 440ml mug of percolated coffee, then if Im not at work Ill have a second one.  If I am working I take a mug to work with me (so I dont have to drink the nasty instant they provide us with).  Throughout the day I have maybe two cans of Pepsi Max, I know there is caffeine in this but Im not sure how much.  Since being on TF, just two days now, I have dropped my coffee intake to one normal sized mug, and the Pepsi Max.  I have tried to give up coffee in the past but I caved after 3 days of pain so bad I thought my head was going to explode. Decaf just doesnt do it for me.

Hi everyone

Has anyone tried dandelion/chicory coffee? It is a great substitute.

I am new to tf but I was trying to give up coffee before I started so I could follow the program more closely. I found that Bonvit Dandelion Coffee blend is great. Try it with sweeteners. It tastes similar to coffee with a bit of chocolate thrown in. No caffeine and it cleanses the blood and liver.

I am new to the program , actually my first day. I am going to find giving up caffiene hard. I am not a coffee drink but a Pepsi Max drinker. Tommorrow going to be hard , as diet coke or pepsi max is the only drinks available at work. I think i will have to take my own to work , rather that buying them from the drink machine

I won't give up coffee. If drinking a skinny espresso once a day is going to slow down my weight loss... than so be it. Luckily I don't have a sweet tooth so I don't have the urge to have biscuits and chocolates.... but wine and cheese...now there is my weakness!

I have stopped eating so many foods that I love like toast, pasta, rice and oats. But coffee... now that is one of life's little pleasures that I will not give up.
