| Just wondering if anyone doing the tfvlcd has tried the sureslim program? I was going to do either sureslim or this and chose this as its easy to follow and I can do it on my own, but I am very interested in knowing the concept of sureslim, and what foods are eaten with their program. Is it low carb also? Thanks. Sumo

| Hi Sumo, I have done sureslim, they set you your own diet after doing blood tests, It is very very expensive ( around $800) and you have to do your own food, the only thing they give you is support. I did lose weight on this diet, but thought it was a waste of money, the clinic I went to the girls were not very helpfull, it was a basic low carb diet. Stick with the TF diet, it is easier to follow and a lot less expensive.

| Hi sumo, I did sure slim too and I lost 22 kilos, BUT, I would not recomend it to any one. The 5 basic rules of sure slim is no potato, pasta, rice, bread and alchol. Although I lost a lot of weight it came back really quickly with some more to boot. I was a little dubious of the diet when a woman I was working with had the exact same diet that I had even though we had different blood types and health conditions. Plus there was a communal recipe book in reception that anyone could take a copy of a recipe that they wanted, well, if everyone is on a specific diet for you analised by you blood work , how come we could all eat the same recipes. Anyway, I'm more than happy with this program, I'm loosing slower than other people becauseI like my glass of wine when I come home from work and I still have my occasional coffee, but , ive lost 11.5 kilos in 10 weeks so I'm on top of the world. Hang in there Micky

| I started surslim begining of last year it locks u into a $800 plan and as said before only thing it offers is support and that was not often good. I agree that a friend of mine went on it too and we actually signed a clause saying you shouldnt share your "custom" diet with others...we go on lock me up my friend and i shared and there was not ONE thing diffrent I found it really fiddly and time factor is big for me so the time it took was a challange I lost some weight on it but as soo as i stopped i put it plus 20kg!!!!! back in a year I am finding grrrrrreat results with TF also pleasnt and not fiddly and def not the same expense as SS I think you made the right call with TF

I did sureslim, but honestly, it was just too restrictive - way more restrictive than TF and way more of a pain to stick to. You have to measure everything to the gram - vegetables included - which becomes too cumbersome and I just couldn't live like that. Although I did lose 7kg in 3 weeks, it really wasn't worth it at all, especially for the money.
Edit: Sorry, should have also said that yes, it is a low carb diet. No bread, pasta, grains etc. But you do have to have 4 different kinds of seeds each day and you are allowed cheese. And porridge for some weird reason....

| Hi Sumo, I tried sureslim and hated it . I was in tears by the second day with the detox as the food you are allowed to eat is EXTREMELY LIMITED. You probably know that you have to have a blood test at first and they say this determines the foods you are allowed to consume. Breakfast you could have a yoghurt & piece of fruit (within reason) NO MORNING TEA as you had to wait 5 hours between meals lunch was either a salad or the only bread you could eat was mountain bread which was nice anyway, Then you had to wait another 5 hours until you consumed your dinner consisting of protein 150g salad or a very restrictive list of veges. Plus you had to have a variety of seeds eg. sesame, linseed ,pinenuts and pumpkin seeds as well as a spoonful of oil per day. IT WAS HORRIBLE !!!!!! I lost 7.9kg in the first week and could not keep going, It cost me $700 but I didn't care. It felt like Ethiopins got more to eat.

| I agree with the other people that have posted. I also tried sureslim (only just finished paying it off!) and only managed to stick to it for a month. It was very strict and food had to be eaten 5-7 hours apart. This was terribly hard for me and I was always hungry until I ate a meal then it was hard to eat it all! I did lose weight really quickly (on sureslim) but gained it all back in the first week of stopping as well as gaining an extra 5kgs in the week after! Apart from a coffee lapse today I have found this program really flexible and easy to stick to. Its great being able to snack on salad and things all day long which sureslim doesnt allow you to do.
