| Hi there, Does anyone attend a Contours Gym? I was just wondering if they have benefited or found success there? Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Andrea
Lost 9kg in 10 weeks last year on TF Fell off wagon for a while there : Starting again for 10kg Currently weigh 84kg

| I go to Contours Gym and have found them to be really good. Very nice people, and because it's a womens gym I don't feel that everyone is stareing at me when I'm there. I've found that i've lost a litte since going, but thats because of the foods I was eating as well. I will still attend Contours and keep going when I join tf. Sorry coudln't be much help... Jody

| i loveeeeeeee contours its a quick 29 mins u dont even notice ur exercising the ladies are lovely very friendly i love that its a womens only gym i have been there a year i think they said i have lost 15. something kgs i dont know the centremetres

Hey Andrea, I wouldn't reccommend Contours - the advantage is the quick workout but after a while your weight loss plateau's and because they have such a limited range of equipment your ability to increase what you are doing is really limited. I used to go to a contours but found the constantly repetitive nature of the circuit really boring and the staff weren't really interested in helping me (obviously this will depend on which studio you go to). I tried a few other gyms before I chose fernwood, they have heaps of classes which are no extra cost and range in duration, fitness levels and activities. They have heaps of staff that go out of there way to help you and heaps of equipment. I totally understand why contours sounds so appealing because its quick but if you want to see long-term weightloss results i'd go elsewhere! Hope that helps, goodluck searching for a gym! xox tara

Hi there, I attend Contours and LOVE IT!!!! The studio I go to is in Mona Vale NSW and the girls there are so lovely, helpful and most of all know what they are talking about! They are all qualified personal trainers - which was very important to me! I found at my local Curves studio the "trainers" had no fitness qualifications at all - I think its important to have someone that actually knows whats they are talking about giving you exercises. At my Contours studio its like group personal training....there is ALWAYS a personal trainer on the floor giving you a different and new exercise at each cardio station. They even do boxing......lots of stomach work also.....which I need I would reccommend them to anyone......

| Hi there Andrea, I have been attending Contours now for 3 months and Yes I have noticed a difference not so much in weight but centimetres. As you are probably aware Muscle weights more than fat so I have gained muscle but not lost weight I have however lost 3 dress sizes. I also feel more energic, I have built up from twice a week and I now go 5-6 times a week it is a 29minute work out then stretches afterwards so takes about 45 minutes. I have met some lovely people there also. What area are you from?? Kylie
