Well, it has almost been a year since I started the diet, quickly reaching my goal in November and everything is going well.

I just wanted to post to inspire some people to look at the long term and subconscious goal.

When I started this diet, I had postnatal depression. Incredibly unhappy. Living day by day. Basically going through the motions and letting other people control my feelings and control me. I was put on anti-depressants and had counselling and decided to take charge of my life. That meant getting rid of the unwanted kilos and the toxic people I had around me.

I quickly rid myself of the people who were bringing me down and then those kilos........

I got started on this diet and I have never looked back. My confidence has increased ten fold. I look better and feel better about myself, I am fitter and healthier. I have learnt everything in moderation and one year on, I am succeeding and hovering around my goal weight.

I am a better mother and have just reached my goal of owning my own salon. I have the confidence to achieve my goal and you can too.

Good luck everyone!!!

Started: 27/07/06 - Weight 89.7 Goal Achieved: 19/11/06 - Weight 69.5

What a great story to read. It is a life changing experience, not just about looks, it is so much more, like your story has told. You have turned yourself around, and that is fantastic. Really well done.

We both started 29th Nov 2006, and we love doing TF at our own pace. We have TF for breaky most days, and follow the principles most days of the week. We have been keeping the weight off pretty well along the way.

My details - height 175cm age 46 - Started at 111 kg, now at 83 kg - would like to get to mid 70's.

My hubby - height 188cm age 49  - Started at 120 kgs, now at 97 kgs - goal around high 80's.

     Thanks Mally!

Hi Mum of Three,

I am only a newbie on this forum but I've been floating around for awhile reading different posts & after I read your post I couldn't believe it! I thought I was reading my story!

I have suffered PND since having my second child four years ago. When I became pregnant with my third, it didn't stop or I didn't "snap out of it" as some people think you can do & it continued after my son was born. My GP put me on anti-depressants also & I'm not saying that I'm not a believer in them as they worked quite well for the time that I was taking them, I just didn't feel comfortable putting synthetic drugs into my body.

So I researched the net & discovered some natural therapies & decided to give it a go along with a total diet & exercise overhaul.
Anyway, my results have been astonishing! I'm off the drugs completely, I take vitamins & although I don't exercise to the extreme! I take it regularly & I have found that I'm much better for it, for both me & my family ( Hubby can't believe the change in me, I'm not such a snappy tom anymore!)

Sorry that I have rambled on a bit but just thought that I would completely agree with you that losing the weight has helped dramatically with depression & my family life.

Thankyou Mum of Three for being an inspiration to, not just me, but to us all!

Hayley.
