Mallyfleas journey over the past 18 months….

Well as you all know by now it’s been just over 1 year since I made my Goal of 66kg. Losing along the way 31kg…When I first went ontoMaintenance I actually lost another 5 kilos within a couple of months, which made me 61kg….

Now I sit between 63-66k sometimes up, sometimes down, depending on how good I’ve been, I do love a couple of Cab.Savs or Sav. Blancs I must admit, and we do go out to Restaurants frequently these days, sometimes I choose wisely and sometimes not, but it has been quite a learning experience on keeping my weight as stable as possible. Maintenance is not the scary bogey some think it to be, all you have to remember is not to ever go back to the “Dark Side” keep your food Low Gi and Low Fat and weight loss is your forever…….

I have enjoyed being the Celebrity Pin-up girl for the Tony Ferguson Clinic in Geelong, seeing myself in the Local paper took a bit of getting used to, but happy to have done it to help promote Tony Ferguson, it’s a great diet and it certainly helped me not only lose weight but I now have all my medical problems under control and have been taken off all medication bar 1, and we will be trialling going off that later this year…

There have been some great successes here on the Forum, mine being one of the lesser ones, I’m proud to be still here helping and supporting others along the way, I want everyone who passes through here to have success as I and others have….

Thank you Tony for the new me, and thanks to everyone here on the forum (especially Patko and Froggie) as I wouldn’t be the person I am today without you all, old and new!

Mal (Mallyflea)

all this achieved in 6 months and still off now after another year!

this was taken 13 days ago, December 8th 07, I must admit it is a professional photograph shot of myself but it shows you can look younger when you shift the many chins LOL

I think your point about the medications is so important Mal. I was having some nagging slight tingling in the arm, and tightness in the chest, and my feet were so sore most of the time. Now Hubby and I have blood pressure around the 110/70 and pulse in the 60's. We didn't expect it to drop so nicely. Hubby has noticed the difference with his back pain too.

We both sleep so much better, and the snoring (and slight sleep aponea) are so much better. We feel much calmer in general. We have a bit to go to goal, but the benefits are so huge already.

It is great to hear how you are going on maintenance, and it is a lesson we all need to learn, no going back to the dark side, moderation has to be our aim for the rest of our longer lives!

We both started 29th Nov 2006, and we love doing TF at our own pace. We have TF for breaky most days, and follow the principles most days of the week. We have been keeping the weight off pretty well along the way.

My details - height 175cm age 46 - Started at 111 kg, now at 83 kg - would like to get to mid 70's.

My hubby - height 188cm age 49  - Started at 120 kgs, now at 97 kgs - goal around high 80's.

     Thanks Mally!

great for us to see Mally, not to mention all the great help and support you give us all!  You certainly deserve to be the pin up girl,
