Hi,

I am really inspired by your story, I am a mother of 3 and 2 grandchildren, but I have been struggling with my weight since my youngest was born and she is now 18.  Of course having my last child at 30 did not help as I know that the metabolism tends to slow down with age.  But I am going to do it this year.  At least I am now under 90kg which is really good I just want to get to 85kg, that would be terrific.  I love reading all the many stories of peoples achievements and it makes me want to continue.

Cheers

Christina

Hi all,

I am now down to 55kg!!  I am 100% happy with my weight now, still having shakes for breakfast, and eating sensible meals during the day.  My biggest change in the last month- I stopped drinking coffee.  No mean feat, I was addicted.  But one day I woke up and didn't want any.  I've been drinking green tea, and feel this is the factor that has dropped off the last few kg's!!!!  So, as desperate as you may feel that you can't give up coffee, take it from me, you feel so much better and your body will thank you!!

Hi, motherof4

Congratulations on reaching goal, it must be amazing reaching that weight.  My heaviest has been 95kg, and these past few months have been traumatic, with things hitting me all at once. But I keep telling myself I have to continue on and reach my goal, at the moment I would love to get under 85kg, but it is elluding me at the moment.  This forum gives me a lot of inspiration and reasons not to give up.

Cheers

Hi,

I also have been struggling with my weight and Yo-Yoing for many years, this year I decided to do something about it and seriously this time.  I have always watched what I ate, and lose motivation and head for the biscuit tin whenever my weight does not change, even though i broke my neck trying to be good all week.  I joined TF and learnt of a new way to eat, the low GI way, after a few weeks and my weight again plateauing I decided to do something about that also.  I joined the Curves Fitness Centre.  I exercise there three times a week, and walk for 1hour and an half every day I don't do the circuit.  I was losing cm but not weight (kg).  I then joined the six week solution run by Curves and this taught me how to eat the low GI way all the time, by following a program high in protein and low in carbs I have shed 4.5kg in 6 weeks.  I am thrilled because finally my weight is coming off, and I have done it by eating and exercising.  On this program I have eating so much, some days I can't fit it all in. But I know that I am training my body to burn fat at a fast pace than ever before, and teach my metabolism to run efficiently.  I am still have trouble losing my pot belly but the doctor assures me that if I keep it up and I will that eventually my stomach will disappear.  I know one thing though I have a waist, and an hourglass figure instead of a straight up and down silohette.
Cheers

You are truely an inspiration motherof4! I was concerned that TF wouldn't work anymore once you hit 60kgs, but you're proof that it does! Thank you so much, your story has really helped me

Hi All - this is my first post but have been reading all your entries for a couple of weeks now.  I have been one of those unlucky souls who has been on the weight loss treadmill on and off all my life - starting at 14,,,,, yes I know you are all thinking 'What's new Pussycat'.

I have been 110 kilos, I have been 68 kilos, I was a successful 3 weekly class Presentor for Easyslim about 10 years ago, I have undertaken every diet known to the modern world BUT have never had replacement shakes.  I have to say after knowing the diet world so intimately that this diet is the easiest I have ever used - considering I went into it quite negatively; you know not another b....y diet!!!!

My starting weight this time was 89.7ks, I am now currently 84ks sitting at 5 weeks in.  I only plan to get down to 78ks as I have a large frame and between 75-80 is what suits my body the best.

So well done Motherof4 - congratulations on your success and for posting your entry.

I'm sorry I haven't answered! I just came on to see if TF had retaliated to Choices article and am so glad he has!!! I was quite annoyed at the inaacuracy and incomplete report. I have a medical backgorund and understand WHY this works and the science behind it, and it worked for me!!

Exercise (ho hum!!!) embarrassingly enough, I did none. I was very fit BEFORE I put on weight, and from years of carrying kids around I have good muscle tone and strength. BUT I lost my weight without doing any exercise. My house has stairs though, and I make an effort to tighten my stomach muscles and glutes EVERY time I go up and down! I have had a serious back injury too, which required surgery just before Christmas, I am on the mend now, and now starting to walk, of- I love my wii fit when the kids let me have a go!!!

My weight is sitting around 56.5 currently, sometimes I drop to 55 but not often. I am happy though!!!!
