Hopefully this can be made a sticky (please?)

Okay. Here's the story. I've quit smoking several times before (3) and it's got to the point we cant afford for me to smoke and do TF. So as of yesterday I have quit again and want this to be the final time! I have started this thread for anyone else who is quiting smoking so we can help each other out! We are fighting two addictions now...food and nicotine. This is going to be a hard journey to do alone so lets support each other.

If anyone wants my mobile number for abit of extra support while we do this, PM me. We can do this!

Hi Kitty,

Just to let you know that it can be done.  I quit smoking 3 months ago.(I tried twice while on TF and succeeded the second time).  I started on the nicorette chewy which takes a while to get used to then switched to normal chewy everytime I wanted a smoke.  I also hit this forum more than usual to get my mind off it all.

It can be done so Good Luck.

Cheers, Rhonda

I also quit smoking about 3 months ago or so, before that I had quit for 5 years. Never, never "social smoke"! I wish you both all of the best and I'm really pleased that you'll have each other to lean on for support and be accountable to. You may inspire others to try too! You both can do this, you have the control, even if it doesn't feel that way sometimes.

I'm behind you all the way and I will be watching this thread to see how you're both coping.
