HI,  Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum, I am starting TF tomorrow after going to the chemist this afternoon to collect supplies. I have been browsing through the forum and finding it very helpful and motivating. I have around 40 kilos to lose to get to my goal weight, although to start with I thought I would set myself smaller goals, Currently I weigh in at 120kg's, so at the moment any loss  would be a great loss. My first small goal will be to lose 5 kg, to start me on my way to a healthier happier me.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, cheers to a slimmer new year!

Hi Sharon and welcome aboard.  I think its great you have made the TF choice and also that you have set yourself a mini goal, they are definately good motivators.

Hi, and thank you for the welcomes.  Just finished breakfast, I found the mixed berry shake really nice. I woke up this morning very motivated and keen to start, I cant wait until first weigh in to see how the program works for me. I know everyone loses weight at a differenty, but is there an average figure that people lose at first weigh in???

Weight loss depends on a number of factors including how rigid you are with sticking with the program, water intake and retention, bowel movement as well as how big you are in the first place. The larger you are the more you have to lose so usually the weight loss a week is a larger number for bigger girls.

My suggestion is to really understand the program as it is easy to make little mistakes that can effect weight loss. Remember once you stuff up it puts you 48 hours behind as that is how long it takes to get back into Ketosis so it is better to keep the book with you and look at it before you put anything in your mouth till you get the swing of things. I remember i had pine nuts on a salad and that can put you out. I also had a Coke Zero one night and that put me out.  things like that.

Keep up the 2Litres of water a day.

Hey! Welcome!

When I started the consultant said "you're first week is usually the biggest loss!" so that really made me look forward to the weigh in that week.

I agree with the water thing, have a look at my losses, the lowest one (300gms) was where I struggled with the water and skipped drinking the whole 2 ltrs the day before.

I found I made a few mistakes the first week but I just kept the book close at hand all the time and I'm learning about all the vegies I love which I wouldn't have looked twice at before tf.  I love eggplant... don't think I've ever even cooked it before tf!

The Jelly's a lifesaver, I'm not too keen on it but if I'm feeling peckish it's great to have something I can nibble on thats not letuce.  Ahh and I take full advantage of the avocado we're allowed a day!  I love it to pieces!

Anyway I must stop blubbering.  goodluck!  Looking forward to chatting with you soon!

Ainslie
