Thank you for your enquiry. While following the Tony Ferguson Weightloss Program you are getting up to 66% of your RDI (Recommended Daily Intake) of vitamins and minerals from the 2 sachets. You will also gain considerable amounts from both your fruit and protein serves and the Simply Balanced multivitamin BUT it is essential that you consume at least 3 cups of vegetables from the allowed list to make up the remainder of this amount. Remember that if you do not consume enough vitamins and minerals each day you may become deficient and unwell not to mention your weight loss may be compromised. Tips for eating vegetables: - Make a vegetable soup using all your favourite vegetables and some salt reduced stock
- Cut vegetables such as capsicum, carrot, broccoli and celery into small sticks and eat with a dip made from avocado (guacamole), roasted eggplant or tomato salsa
- Use large iceberg lettuce leaves to hold the filling for tacos or burritos
- When having a BBQ, thread cherry tomatoes, different coloured capsicum squares, onion wedges and button mushrooms onto wooden skewers. Coat with a mixture of soy sauce and garlic and cook till browned.
- Make coleslaw from shredded cabbage and carrot, red onion, diced capsicum, parsley and a small amount of low fat dressing.
- Use mashed cauliflower (Notatoes) as a side dish or to make salmon patties
Please refer to the TF cookbook for the recipes in bold and for other ideas on vegetable snacks.
