| hi there, I am joining this for some motivation...I am in week three and so far have lost 1.9kgs, weigh in on saturday (3rd weigh in). My goal is to get to 80 kilos first, then I will see how I feel and go from there. I am OK most days, but do have my days, today i wanted bread so much, but I did not succumb! Yay me. So looking forward to losing it together!
yay lost 1.8 this week, have gone a bit off track this week but back on the road now! Lilac, the ice cream shake thing sounds great, let me know how it goes!ciao retromama

Retromama,
welcome to the challenge I think not giving into that craving for bread is awesome! Did you give yourself a pat on the back? I'm in week 5 now and I have almost no cravings anymore. I did the first few weeks. That told me my system was just learning to get used to the new way of eating. Once you do, you won't know yourself. How are you going with the water? That really is the key. It helps so much to take hunger away. I often have one of my allowed decaf coffees when I get a bit peckish, it helps to put something in the tum and cut down the hunger.

| Hi Everyone, I only lost 200 g this week, butl ost 3 cm off my waist. I am exercising three mornings a week so I know I am building muscle at the same time, so i was happy with that. I think i am getting better with the cravings now and am falling into a pattern with the food and shakes. I mostly have issues at night after dinner, so tonight I made so much jelly and snakes just to have a sweet fix, so hopefully I can stay on track. Thanks for the wirds of motivation, I really want to succeed at this and I must admit I am already feeling the benefits. Good louck everyone,

Hi retromama,
you've lost more than 200gms really, that's just the number on the scale. To show a loss, when you are replacing fat with muscle, means you've actually lost more fat than that, so that's awesome!
Are you taking the chromium? It really does help, I take 2 every day. I missed the other day and only took 1 yesterday and I'm really noticing the difference now. Also, think about saving one or both of your fruit serves to have later in the evening after dinner. You can have unlimited veggies in their place during the day. That way you can have, say a baked apple with splenda and cinnamon, and part of an allowed yoghurt for a dessert. Might do the trick.
Lilac.

| HI Lilac, Thats a great idea, I think I will save the fruit and replce with vegies, duh never thought to do that! Do you just bake the apple whole or what do you do? I have never done that before! I am taking the chromium but only one a day so i wills tart to have two as well and see if that helps. I do notice they make a differnce though, its amazing. Have a weigh in on Saturday, so fingers crossed! Have had a pretty good week though so i am feeling quite positive!

I only ever baked an apple once, lol. What i would do is cut it into pieces and stew it, then add a few splenda when its done, for sweetness and sprinkle cinnamon on top. If you do want to bake it, peal it, core it and place on tray in over on about 180 for 30-45 minutes. It should be soft but not burnt. Cutting it in half might help as well.
What I am going to try next week, is making a vanilla shake into ice cream (make with 150ml water and put in freezer for about 5 hours), then I'll steam the apple and have ice cream and hot apple for dessert! yum. My main meal is at lunch each day, so it will just by my usual evening shake.
