I have lots of motivating factors

1. I've just had some time off work where I ate whatever and whenever I wanted and need to regain control
2. I'm sooooo very happy when I weigh less than 60kgs which I don't at the moment so not very happy at all
3. My expensive jeans aren't looking very good at the moment (in fact I can hardly get them on)
4. Other winter gear from last year is not looking that good or not fitting at all. (It's expensive having to buy new stuff)
5. It's as good a time as any right?? Why put it off another day??
6. I've been going out with a professional athlete haha...a perfect physical specimen really makes you conscious of your flaws!!!

I like what someone else said about revealing a hot new body after shedding all the winter clothing too, that's great. It'll be bikinis all round next summer right??

also, my boyfriend and i am moving in together in september. we have been together for 4 years and when he met me i was thin, young and beautiful. Needless to say.. things dont last forever... But i am determined that to start the next part of our life together, i want to look and feel fab. (I am a bit worried as to how im going to maintain this because from what people have told me, people tend to put on weight when they live with partners.... ill have to see when i reach mainence)

This is sooo true! I moved in with my partner and put on 30kgs!!! It's basically the reason i need to go on TF! I started eating as much as him (he's 6'4 and nicely filled out (ie not lanky) playing footy etc so he eats heaps) and because we were cooking yummy things all the time i eventually ended up eating more than him and now i weigh more than him lol, so much for feeling feminine! we never ate too unhealthy it was just a matter of eating later at night and having lots of carbs and portion sizes that were waaaaay to big than what i actually needed (or felt like)

i dont mean to scare you, lol, but you are definitely wise to get nice and slim and learn good food habits before you move in, it should be easier to maintain than going in blindly and waking up one day and you're a fatty

I'm 21 now and i don't want to waste what should be the happiest, most fun years of my life because i'm over weight and trying to hide it from the world

--end rant--

Get down to double digits!

I had a work party and the photos got put on the board at work and I looked the worst I have looked in my life

I was always fit and good looking and now am unhappy with myself and depressed. I am sick of it impacting on my life. I have a family and daughters who look up to me.

Also I am on a social networking site and dread anyone "tagging" photos of me!

I have a friend coming back to Australia from overseas and I want to look good.

Also I have been treated badly by my own family and my inlaws for putting on weight and being "fat" so I'm guna show 'em! I will look great and they will still be horrible people. But mainly its for myself and my family as I am depressed I dont feel like myself and I want to be me again inside and out.

Winter is always the time I have the inspiration I dont know why, it will be easier to exercise as I live in a hot part of the country. I love soup (although I still love my salads too!) I love the forums already and the support we have too. If you have done your exercise and had your shake and have 5 min to spare you can jump online and get a bit more inspiration!!!

4th Goal-to get down UNDER 75kg  to be down to 75kg is my main goal   reached 75.1kg on the 14/10/08 (75kg on 23/10/08)

I decided to do it because as I have mentioned in other posts on the forum I got engaged a few months ago and I want to be able to spend a very very very long and healthy life with my husband to be I don't want to die from an overweight related disorder and have him know I could have done something about it.

I know that sounds incredibly morbid and depressing but that's my motivation is to have a long and healthy life with him that and look incredibly HOT in a sexy wedding dress on our wedding day (which isn't for a while thank goodness)

I guess also it's all those stares you get and plus I have actually been KICKED OUT of a store by some snobby bleep bleep lady coz and I quote an"You are too fat too fit into any of these clothes try MYER they have a big girls section and I am sure they would have something that would fit you" I would just love to go back in there once I lose some weight and show that lady up, coz she won't be getting any of MY business I can tell you that much.

Plus it's cooler months I won't get soooooo gross when I do exercise and hopefully I can fit into a more flattering looking swim suit in the summer.

Only I can change my life...no one can do it for me

FIRST MINI GOAL

ULTIMATE GOAL

 To lose 10 kgs

To fit into the dress I bought by 3/10/08

To lose 20 kgs by my 21st bday 14/01/09

Open / Close

Me now...                       Me waaaaaayyyyy down the track

Hi! everyone,

I have just started back today after months off recovering from major spinal surgery. Due to this surgery I am now able to walk again without being in terrible pain so for me getting out for a walk, no matter how cold , is just the greatest. This is a major motivation for me to get back on track (no pun intended) with my weight loss.  I lost a few kilos on my own before going into hospital and took off more afterwards but for the last month I have found I am struggling on my own so I thought this was the right time to start back on TF. I have always found dieting in the winter so much easier than the warmer months. I love soup and there are so  many lovely flavoursome soups you can make with the help of herbs and spices.   These keep me filled up and warm.  During summer I  love salad but just cannot eat these without oily dressings etc so being winter I do not fancy salad at all which helps me to drop those kilos. I love vegetables and never tire of those available in the winter. These are just a couple of things that make winter dieting easier for me. I will be reading the different forums to help me along the way. I am just about to head off for my walk now and it is freezing outside but I feel "alive" with the wind on my face and then the smell of the soup pot cooking when I come in the door after the walk, all good stuff.  Cheers  msjones

I seem to pay attention to my weight gain at the start of winter.  I think its after a summer of drinking too much wine over lovely long lunches with friends.  By the start of winter I'm trying to fit into my jeans and then all of a sudden, they don't fit like they did at the end of the previous year.  Looking and feeling good in your favourite pair of jeans seems to inspire me every year.  By the middle of each winter I've got back to where I want to be (which is now, thank goodness) but I seem to do the same thing every year.  Perhaps now that TF has worked for me I'll learn to stay on a low GI, low fat/carb eating plan and next year I won't face the same problem.

The other motivating factor is that I'm nearly 40 and have never really worried about my age but in the last year or two when everything seems to be going south....its more and more important to me not to carry any unnecessary weight.  If you carry a few extra kilo's it can tend to make you feel and look frumpy so I'm all for looking and feeling younger as I approach the 40's.  So I'm told, the new 30's!

What is keeping me motivated is losing my pregnancy weight (finally) so that i can be back to a decent weight so we can have another bub. Also my sisters wedding is in Feb and i am maid of honour so want to have a nice figure for that. Also what would be really nice is to just be able to pull on a pair of jeans and a nice shirt when heading out, instead of going thru my wardrobe every time trying to find something that doesn't make me look like a whale.

Why i started:

- Had a panic attack at work and thought it was time i started looking after my body more - normally i used to ignore it (easier that way)

- Have a vision of how i want to look as a teacher and the things i want to do with students once i graduate - me being overweight dosent fit into the picture.

Motivation:

- Saw the wedding dress I WANT SO BAD

- Started walking with my best friend at night time to catch up and talk

- My beautiful partner not pushing me and always telling me i am beautiful 'thats why i love him'
