Hiya everyone! I had my weigh in at the gym today and I've lost 1.6kg since last Thursday!! I'm so rapt I was only expecting about 0.5kg at best coz I had some pizza during the week! So I'm stoked!!

Also thought I'd share: I've got some extra weight loss motivation - I've been looking for a wedding dress (leaving it REALLY late I know!) but I'm on a budget - a tiny budget of $500 coz most of our money is going to cover our travel costs for the honeymoon.

Well a very dear family friend asked if I'd be interested in buying her daughter-in-law's Claire's wedding dress, which is the SAME style dress that I tried on and loved in a bridal shop but was $880, and it is already taken up because she's the same height as me.

I said absolutely, how much does she want for it? My friend asked and Claire is willing to LEND it to me for FREE!!!

It just needs a clean so all I have to pay for is cleaning costs AND Claire is also happy for me to adjust it if need be, and she can do it for me because she is a seamstress!!

So I'm ecstatic! My new big motivation to lose the weight is that the dress is a size 14, and I'm currently a size 16. Although Claire is happy to let it out for me, I'd rather it just fit you know? So fingers crossed!

Hope everyone is having a great day! Sorry to ramble I'm just really happy with these recent developments!

Waddling on forwards!!

Please help me get back on track i was so thrilled when i was down to 60.8kilos and now i think i am at 62kilos

Thanks Bride2Be! But hey you hang in there you still can make this a turn around point for your weight loss! I understand what you mean eating when you get stressed I am a shocker for that, sorry to hear your little one was ill I don't have children so that must make it a lot harder!

My mum's friend has a really good idea for stopping the nibbles, maybe you could try it? She has two young kids and used to really struggle with her weight because they like to have biscuits and cakes etc as does her hubby which makes it really hard for her to resist.

So she got her husband (who is very tall) to put all the treats up in the highest cupboard in the kitchen out of reach so that she would have to get a chair to reach them, and when the kids want a treat they have to ask their dad to get them. If she really wants a treat, she is less likely to want to drag a chair just to get a biscuit! She also put the fruit bowl near that cupboard so when she thinks about having a biscuit, there is literally a healthy alternative right in front of her! It's really helped her stop the nibblies! So maybe if your fiancee is taller than you, you could do a similar thing?

Also prepare yourself for a sweet tooth - if you are craving something sweet at say, 3pm everyday, make sure you have some sugar free jelly ready to go for then - maybe cut up some strawberries or other berries to put in the mixture to spice it up a bit.

This is my personal strategy to help me combat comfort eating when I'm stressed: 1. I take a really deep breath 2. have a big glass of water and then 3. walk around the block once - it helps me clear my head and by the time I come back I don't usually feel like snacking.

I hope this helps! Hang in there we'll help get you through this so you feel great on your wedding day! Keep visualizing your goal and you WILL get there!

Thanks for the advice Yuna

I did fill up the fruit bowl and leave it smack bang in the middle of the kitchen.

I was really good today, Monday was another shocker, but i did manage to go to the gym.

Today i am sore from the gym, but havent slipped up once!

Hopefully the scales will start to forgive me soon.

Hi everyone, just wanted to update I had my weigh in yesterday and now I'm in the 70's!! Yay I haven't weighed this for 5 years!

I only lost 700grams, but I had a bigger loss last week so as long as next week catches up, I'll be happy! Especially considering that I went halves with my hubby-to-be in a cream bun a few days ago! It was from this wonderful bakery that my Mum used to take me to all the time when I was a kid, and I hadn't been there for years so I suppose it's in perspective but I felt really guilty afterward - as much as I enjoyed it!

Hope you're all going well! How about some more updates brides?
