Steph - you are right about flabby arms looking better tanned than pasty. Good news about the gastro restricting your food intake for a few days. Use it as a launching pad to good decisions. LOL about cake being reward for sit ups challenge. Start packing but first have a garage sale and off load all your accumulated junk... less to pack and a bit of cash to spend - I mean save. I really do mean spend, of course.

I hope Nik likes Trace's hair and they have a fun time in the city.

Mr kim is still in bed. I just sent ice cream up to him and another bottle of water. He will be asleep again soon. He has the air con on in the bedroom so it will be pleasantly cool by the time I get there..... after 11pm thanks to son1's social life.

I've been watching tv taped shows and have one more to go. We have one of those dvd recorder thingys (that's not what it's called - um - hard drive, yes) and tape multiple shows a week like all csi series, criminal intent, law and orders (when they are on), without a trace, judge judy, bold and the beautiful, the apprentice and packed to the rafters. So lots to watch when I feel like veging.

Have brought in and folded all the washing so I am a good girl in that dept today. House needs to be cleaned tomorrow and I am  thinking I will do it myself to have it sparkling and smelling disinfectanty for once. Son1 is working at freakin' 8am tomorrow so no sleep in for me.. dammit.

Looks like I was outvoted on the high maintenance issue with Lexy!!! All you divas v natural (except for hair colour and nails) me. WOnder which way she went in the end?

Okay, off to do nothing again. It's beautifully warm. Was 30 something here today... low 30s..... glorious weather.

So much for an early night!! Our dog got out of the yard this afternoon and was probably gone for about half an hour before Paul noticed. Been searching the streets since and Paul is now going around the estate putting signs up everywhere. Hoping that someone found him and took him in for the night and nothing bad has happened. The kids have all cried themselves to sleep - awful!!!

Steph x

Oh Steph - your poor family. The doggy is probably in someone's yard as you suspect. He'll be returned to you in the morning when someone notices the flyers. Sad for your babies worrying about his location just now. Hugs.

Good morning ladies.

Another 30+ degree day coming up here in Melbourne!! Yippee. I love this!! I was born to wear summer clothes night and day.

Hope doggy is home by now for Steph's family.

Mr kim is up and has taken son1 to work. Glad he is feeling better now.

Only 5 sleeps until Sydney trip, my loves. How excitement.

Have a terrific Sunday. Hope the sun is shining where you are.

Morning!

After not being able to sleep last night I ended up leaving the front gate open and sometime after midnight heard the bloody dog scratching on the front door. Opened the door and the little bugger ran in, went and had a drink of water and mouthful of food and then went and laid on his bed!! He was as happy as anything and had obviously had a fun little adventure!! Kids all very happy to see him this morning - don't know what would have happened if he hadn't come back. Funny thing was about 10 minutes after he came home a huge rainstorm hit and its was pelting down - he must have smelt the rain coming and didn't want to get wet LOL!!!!

Amazing how much how much stress and heartache a bloody animal can cause!!

Kim - glad Mr Kim is up and feeling good today!! Five sleeps and counting until Sydney - yahoo!!!

Hope you all have a great day. Mine will be full of cleaning and washing etc after being slack with all the sickies this week. Will try and take the kids to see their new nephew this afternoon as well. First up the husband has to go and remove all the flyers that took him hours to post last night - do you reckon he's happy about that!!!

Steph x

Yay for the naughty dog's return. He must have seen one of the flyers and thought it best to get home. Glad order is restored in your house this morning. Funny how much you get upset when they are missing and consider them a pain in the neck when they return...... dogs, I mean. (not husbands).

Have been outside sunning myself in short shorts. Got too sweaty so will change out of my short shorts into leg hiding ones and venture off to do the grocery shopping. Mr kim and I have been arguing about my party this morning. That was fun.

Was out in the 'garden' at 8am pruning, sweeping and culling. Then told mr kim it is his job to clean up the mess I made. He was super impressed. He and Krash are at dog disobedience now so the house is quiet again. Son2 is waiting upstairs for his Sunday morning breakfast to be delivered.... but it ain't coming!!!!

Hi Honey I'm Home

Had an awesome time in the city, it was nice to see Nik again.  I think he like my hair, it took him 20 minutes to say something and then it was "yeah your hair looks pretty good"...men !!  He said it made me look younger, so I guess thats a bonus

We hung out at a bar last night which faced Southbank so was perfect for people watching which I love.  So many young girls wearing dressess to short and shoes way to high.  Lots of drunk girls carrying shoes also...not a good look.  We sat next to an American couple here on holidays so chatted to them over to many beers until 1am this morning.  It was good fun.  Had a late breakfast and then a nap before checking out...noice !!

How's this Melbourne weather hey Kim   Sydney better put this good weather on for us next weekend

Steph, aww poor puppy, glad he came home

Kim, so pleased that Stephen is feeling better today   YAY for sun and short shorts

Hope everyone is having a lovely sunday, I have to go and loads of washing that Nik kindly brought home with him

Hello it's me

I have had to go back a long way to catch up on the posts I have missed, so bear with me as this will take a while (the laptop has gone into go slow mode which is not helping!!)

Kim is semi-decided about a 40th birthday (go for it Kim - 40 is to be celebrated ), Steph has had sickies in the house and I'm pleased to hear that Carys is going through the process of having her problems sorted, Lexy really likes a guy who only wants fun (that does not mean he won't change his mind of you turn out to be Ms Right ), also Lexy can now spend more time with us thanks to her understanding friend - yaaay!, PL needs to use the dress trying on session as her incentive to keep going, OMG 650 puschups in one hour - eeeek , Sim dropped in to let us know that her daughter has become a gambler , Nikki celebrated her 3rd wedding anniversary in style, Trace is busy, Rose wasn't feeling well - hope you are 100% now , Julie is getting ready for her youngest to leave the next for a while - she will have a ball and you will miss her, but the time will pass , lovely long post from Sim, hope the office is now sorted and thanks for reminding what little time we have left until Christmas , PL I take Zomig - tried Immigran, but it didn't work for me, hope you dog is ok by now, Trace ate something she shouldn't have, Rose I'm up for the 100 situp challenge starting tomorrow , had a chuckle about hanging up first - took me back to when I used to talk to a boy every afternoon after school!!, good to hear Gaz is enjoying his new job, PL I hope the fankles have gone down - I'm pleased to say that I have never had that happen, Julie don't stress about the baby bump - it is going to happen , lovely long catchup from Kim (thanks for the advice - too true again!) and what a silly billy that 'attendee' was - sheeesh some people can by silly , Nik came home so Trace is a happy, happy gel, Lexy went for a sleepover and had plenty of advice about what to take and has been to see the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, also Zackat has scared the vet!, Kim is still talking about her party, poor Mr Kim - pleased to hear that he is over his migraine, Steph has found to solution to weightloss and is facing being homeless or living the high life in an apartment!!, Stephs doggie went on an adventure, Stephs doggie came home again!, Trace had a fabulous time in Melbourne with Nik, Kim don't argue about your party - no fun!

Phew I'm now up to date and have read every post

As you know last week was a struggle, but I'm ready to take on the last two days at work with my normal smile and am looking forward to the relief of walking out the door for the last time.  Friday I left at 1 and went to the shop for training - didn't leave until 6.20 as I helped move stuff around to fit two new dealers in.  I had a ball - it is so calming.  Mum managed to do all her Christmas shopping in the first 3 shops we went in, then we had lunch, went over to the antique shop and then to see Miss M#2 and work out a flower (Rose) and colours for the dress and then we went to see Miss M#1.

Mr M fed me during the week as all I could manage was to sit like a zombie by the time I got home, so I now have a tummy that looks like a football - have been into the water today and maybe the situps will help.........by Friday.........hmmmmmmmm....I doubt it!  Will try on my dress to see if it still fits later in the week - I hope so otherwise my 'frocking up' will be black trousers!!

Thanks for your lovely messages and concern - you are great friends and I appreciate you all.  I'm so pleased to be back to being 'me' again

Thanks for the blinkie Mally

Lexy...hope the sleep over went well and you managed to pack so as not to look too high maintenance!

Steph...so glad to hear your doggie made it home safely. When our beagle gets out, we usually leave the gate open and he comes home when he is hungry! Hard on the kids though.

Kim...forgot to put my 2c worth in about the client who thinks you do nothing. People can be so stupid. Organising funerals from a family POV is hard enough, but to be answerable to that family if something goes wrong would be worse. Love your thinking though of how everything just happens! Have had the same crap as a teacher for years. Yes I know...I work 9-3, never on weekends, evenings, 12 weeks holidays and I am lucky enough to have a fairy godmother who writes my programs, 28 x 4 page reports twice a year, plans excursions, marks assessments, writes assessments...why go on??? OK...now off my soapbox Hehehehe!

Mrs M...how was your weekend with your mum?? Hope shopping went well.

Trace...great to hear you had a wonderful weekend with Nik. Love that you will get to leave him next week instead if the other way round!!

As for me...NO birthday parties this weekend!! Hurray!! Went shopping yesterday with sis and Lily and made some good puchases. Watched 'He's just not that into you' last night. Was ok. Not fab but an easy watch. Today I took the kids for a walk/ride to the shops and it rained about 2 blocks from home. Kids loved it!! Had lunch at a friends house (the one whose Mum had a transplant last year...still not working and she is back on dialysis again. Not looking good there). Had a wonderful day with her. SHe is trying so hard to fall pregnant I just so hope it happens soon for them.

My poor dad has had a reaction to the treatment he has been receiving and needs to see the oncologist tomorrow. One big prob...big floods on the mid north coast have cut Hat Head off from the highway. Hoping the waters ease so he can through. Poor bugger!

Am working tomorrow in lieu of Friday as I have some lovely friends coming to Sydney to hang out with me for the weekend and want to have Friday off. Hang on...it is you all!!! Yay. Weather is looking good so fingers crossed Sdney turns it on for you!!
