Hello, its me J Thought I was long over due for a big catchup so here goes J Mrs M, yay for being unemployed in a good way of course. Nice that you left on good terms J Hope your shopping day was successful today J I got your goodies from David Jones…now to remember to pack them J Lexy, welcome to the world of the daily train traveller J Hope your first day was good and the people are nice J Probably a good idea to bring clothes on Friday as we will most likely be out & about on Saturday J I think dinner on Friday night is chinese restaurant that Rose has organised. It think the details are in the FB thread J I know what you mean about dresses, before TF I owed one dress and that was bought for a special occasion. Now I have about 10. A friend asked to borrow one recently and I took them all over for her, she was stunned about how many I had. I left them all for her to choose from, so I had to go and get one back off her for Saturday night. I chose the Red/crimson one J Kim, aww nice that you got something new and exciting to organise at work. They must be rapt with you J Hope your injury is better today J We need to organise a time for Friday morning. I think at this stage we will be meeting Nikki somewhere and taking her to the airport as well J Just trying to work out the logistics of it. Her flight is about 50 mins earlier than ours, so will have plenty of time for coffee etc at the airport J Please your hair issue has been sorted and you are a happy lady blonde once again J Julie, hope you are getting everything done. My ankles are swollen at the moment to L Hope those boys are coping with the heat J Have fun partying with Claire while we are gone J Nikki, will get back to you with pickup for Friday after sorting out a suitable location J Shame you are flying up on your own L Most of us arrive within an hour of each other so not to long hanging around the airport J I see on FB you are having hair issues, at least keep it blonde until Friday so we can have a peek at it J Claire, I hope scooter is on the mend. I hear a vet talking on the radio last night about the dangers of giving doggies sausages off the BBQ and fatty food causing pancreatitis and I thought of you and scooter J Susan, hope you are well and will catchup on your news over the weekend J Steph, bummer about the house sale falling thought but I guess it takes the pressure off finding a rental ASAP hey!! Everything will work out !! Sif you wouldn’t be coming to Sydney….Paul doesn’t know who he is dealing with if you didn’t J Sim, hey hun, hope you are well. Shame that you arent coming on the weekend, but fully understand and look forward to catching up for a drink or 5 sometime soon J Cherry, just incase you are keeping an eye on us ~ hello J J Amber, oh nearly home time to Melbourne for you J How exciting J Hope the move goes well for you J Phew, I hope that’s everyone J Forgive me if its not J Now for me ~ I havent been avoiding you all (ive had quick reads) just been busy working and doing work at home and still have a bit to get done before Friday L The heat has turned my ankles into big fat tree trunks. I have been drinking lots of water but it hasn’t helped. My scales say bad things but I have been eating right so I am putting it down to fluid retention J Heat also seems to be upsetting my tummy to L Better get packing tonight, kind of know what I’m taking but will get it sorted as Kim will be on my doorstep at the crack of dawn J J I went to DJ’s today to get something that Mrs M asked if I could pick up for her, had a poke around the shops but decided to wait until Sydney shopping J I always seem to buy new things to take and then buy more new things while there. Hope the weather is Sydney is nice, as I’m thinking of only packing summery things J Getting nails done tomorrow night and then will have to food shop so the family don’t starve while I am gone!! Starting to get excited but at the same time I always get stressed a little thinking of the things I need to do but also thinking I don’t have enough time. Ah well, I’ll get there, I always do !! Well that’s it from me….!!! Lucky I typed all this in word, imagine if it posted while crashing…you would never hear from me again J J If you read all that...congrats !!

| Julie right on, the week is flying by! LOL Mrs M, what do you mean by hair bling?! My hair looks terrible, you are all going to get a fright I also didn't update you all on my eating -- have been mostly good! I'm not really doing TF buyt my day looks like this shake, fruit, small portion of chicken or salmon with a big salad and then a normal TF friendly dinner. It's probably not enough carbs, but what the hey.
Nikki x

| Hello!! Yes I've been cleaning today!! Need to get the house into some sort of order so it is easy enough for 'him' to maintain over the weekend!! Also went to Blake's swim carnival at school. He did really well - a 1st, two 2nds and a 3rd placing!! We seem to be a little stuck with the people who had the contract on our house. There was a sunset clause that gave them until 25 Nov to get a contract on their house. They have asked for an extension of settlement date to 23 Dec - AS IF!!! No way am I moving two days before Christmas. My conveyancing girlfriend has said to say we will not extend settlement which means they will have to either cancel contract immediately or wait until 25 Nov and we can. If they do get a contract on their house again prior to that we hold the power as to when settlement date is extended to. Now to convince the agent that they better the exercise my rights in the sunset clause and start showing the house again. If we get another contract the first people have 48hrs to make their contract go unconditional. What a heap of wilma!!! I figure we've already lost 2 weeks out of the market and I'm not prepared to waste any more time. If they get an unconditional contract on their house and ours is still available they can negotiate with us again then!! Nikki - hello there!! Hair bling is the term I think Claire uses for those annoying grey hairs!! Looking forward to meeting you on Friday!! Best check my flights again too! Mrs M - I'm sure everything didn't look bad when you were shopping!! Nice to hear everyone is getting their hair etc done for our big weekend. Not sure what I'm packing yet - I'm sure it will be done all last minute tomorrow night!! Trace - I'm hoping to only bring summery stuff too - but better bring some kind of jacket in case we pull an all nighter and it is cold coming home at 5am!!! LMAO!!! Julie - you poor thing missing out on the sitter today. Hope that gets sorted quick smart! Kim - Congrats on the new job within the job!! They must love you and it is a credit to you and your ability!! Boo for it meaning your aircon can't get fixed!! Surely Mr Kim can sort that for you over the weekend??? Lexy - hope your first day has gone really well!! Hope everyone was friendly and welcoming and that your brain realised it had to work normally again!! Claire - Buster is a bit of a schmacko addict!! We don't give them to him but my uncle who walks him everyday spoils him rotten with them!! Rose - ooooh maybe I could come down to Hat Head with the kids for a few days over the holidays?? Glad to hear your dad got to his appt ok and I'm sure he'll love having you and the kids to watch over him!! Two more sleeps girlfriend - can't wait!! Got netball tonight and really don't want to play - my back went into spasm while at the pool this morning. Bit sore! But we have two players away and have used all our reserves so I might just dawdle around the court!! Oh - fellow Sydney trippers - I have a little surprise for you when we get there!! Don't get too excited though or you will most probably be very disappointed LOL!! Better go cook dinner and get ready for netball - back later.
Steph x

| I just read this and love the ending: Recently, in a large French city, a poster featuring a young, thin and tan woman appeared in the window of a gym. It said:
THIS SUMMER DO YOU WANT TO BE A MERMAID OR A WHALE?¨
A middle aged woman, whose physical characteristics did not match those of the woman on the poster, responded publicly to the question posed by the gym.
To Whom It May Concern:
Whales are always surrounded by friends (dolphins, sea lions, curious humans). They have an active sex life, they get pregnant and have adorable baby whales. They have a wonderful time with dolphins stuffing themselves with shrimp. They play and swim in the seas, seeing wonderful places like Patagonia, the Barren Sea and the coral reefs of Polynesia. Whales are wonderful singers and have even recorded CDs. They are incredible creatures and virtually have no predators other than humans. They are loved, protected and admired by almost everyone in the world.
Mermaids don't exist. If they did exist, they would be lining up outside the offices of Argentinean psychoanalysts due to identity crisis. Fish or human? They don't have a sex life because they kill men who get close to them not to mention how could they have sex? Just look at them.....where is IT ? Therefore, they don't have kids either. Not to mention who wants to get close to a girl who smells like a fish store?
The choice is perfectly clear to me; I want to be a whale.
P.S. We are in an age when media puts into our heads the idea that only skinny people are beautiful, but I prefer to enjoy an ice cream with my kids, a good dinner with a man who makes me shiver and a piece of chocolate with my friends. With time we gain weight because we accumulate so much information and wisdom in our heads that when there is no more room it distributes out to the rest of our bodies. So we aren't heavy, we are enormously cultured, educated and happy.
Beginning today, when I look at my butt in the mirror I will think, "Good grief, look how smart I am..."

Thanks for the blinkie Mally

| Hi all. First day at new office was dead boring!!! No computer until tomorrow and no phones until tomorrow!!! I hobbled up the street to get a magazine to read about 3pm. What a long day. It will be good though when I can be productive. Mrs M - the thought behind the story is........ nice. Still don't want to be a whale ever again though. No fat woman is really happy with herself IMO. No one will ever convince me of that. She may be a 'happy' person but isn't happy with her image/body/weight/discipline etc. Glad you enjoyed your first day of retirement and your hair bling is gone. It sounds nice to have hair bling but looks and feels awful. I am happy now that the bling is gone too. Trace - I read your comment about being on your doorstep at sparrow's f**t but won't you come to pick me up on Friday morning? Where are we meeting Nikki? What time do we have to be at the airport for Nikki to be there on time? Steph - good girl with the stupid cleaning. The hide of them to ask for an extension until 23rd december!! Some people. Lexy - hope your first day was good and you were happy on the train. Bet you looked gorgeous in a new suit! Hi to everyone else. Feeling tired and a bit cranky tonight. My calf (known as 'baby cow' in my house) is tender. I have iced it again tonight but looks like I have a freezer burn thingy on my leg now. It is raised and burny. Hot to touch too. Bloody doing the right thing. I won't be training tomorrow night and will pack instead. Off to look at tv and relax for a while before bed. Chat when it's 1 sleep to go.

I might do that Trace Kim I agree - I don't want to be a whale again. I thought it was witty. Hope you baby cow improves soon. Georgie had a seizure a little while ago - she is tired now. She hasn't done that for over a year - not nice when it is happening. She got very distressed at the vets this afternoon when she went for her post op check, so I'm hoping that is what caused it. Time for beddies - sleep tight ladies

Thanks for the blinkie Mally
