Our "Pink Bible" says......

Authentic Chinese food features plenty of vegetables and is low in fat.
Limit your intake of starchy, Asian-style sticky rice.
A low GI alternative would be oriental noodles (egg, rice or mung bean)
avoid deep fried foods as these are very high in fat...

Hope that is of some  help...

I also read somewhere to stay clear of the sweet and sour dishes, as they have a lot of sugar in them.

hi

i have been to chinese a few times while on TF and found that you can still have a nice meal with dishes like Chicken and Veggies, Ginger Chicken, Stir-Fry or Steamed veggies and steamed dim sims. I definitely avoid the noodles and rice.

You still feel like you had a nice meal but dont feel like you have been too naughty.

nat - made my goal but im going for 4 more!

Almond Chicken with Veg might be one of the better choices too as it usually has a very thin watery sauce with loads of veg (just leave some almonds on your plate!)

chicken and cashews without the cashews?
garlic prawns?
Um..... Anything with a light sauce if you are looking at eating meat... dont go the thick stuff like black bean or sachwan etc...

I think that would be a safe option - really light sauce... kind of watery... but tastes really nice because it's cooked in it.

You can also get the mixed vegetables to bulk it up a bit.... otherwise they both come with veg as well.

IF you are getting take away, make up your favourite salad and put some of the meat from the chinese in with your salads.... I had to do that last week - I took some salad in a container to my bf's mum's place for dinner. As much as I was spewing because chinese is my favourite thing EVER. I got garlic prawns and picked out some prawns to put with my salad.

All good tips.

Also avoid BBQ, as most things with this name come in a thick sticky sauce, not cooked bbq style.

Steamed, fish, seafood and chicken are usually pretty safe.

Watch the soups, only Tom Yum is safe that I know of, and it's Thai.
