Dear Customers

Tony Ferguson has been cautious in our caffeine guidelines in the past as nutritional

information regarding caffeine has been conflicting. Some studies display a

detrimental affect whereas others suggest beneficial effects.

Our intentions have been to ensure you get the best weight loss and health

improvements possible. Feedback from our customers over time has shown that a

low caffeine intake has not affected their weight loss or health.

A recent look at some of the many studies conducted on caffeine appears that a

low caffeine intake is unlikely to have a huge effect on our weight or health in

general.

Health effects as a consequence of caffeine intake may differ from one person to

another depending on previous caffeine intakes, quantity consumed and health

status. If your doctor has advised you to limit or avoid caffeine for any health reason,

doctor’s advice should be followed.

We would like to take a more balanced view of the matter and have allowed a

limited amount of caffeine on the Program in the past through the allowance of 3

cups of regular tea or 5 cups of green tea. We recognise that having a morning or

afternoon cup of coffee is often a tradition that people find hard to give up and from

experience we feel that having one cup instead of the other caffeinated beverage

allowance if preferred should not affect your customer’s weight loss.

Here are the caffeinated beverage guidelines:

Limit caffeine:

· You may choose 1 cup of black coffee OR 3 cups of decaffeinated coffee

OR 3 cups of tea OR 5 cups of green tea.

· You may have as much herbal tea as desired.

· Soft drinks should be diet and caffeine free.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind Regards,

Shorty - Tony Ferguson Staff

Here Here

I've only done 2 weeks, but I haven't ditched my morning cuppa at all (against TFC guides at the time I know). Caffeine isn't great for the liver in large quantities but I'd rather have one 'real' good cup a day than a few mediocre things I don't fancy.

Long live the cocoa bean :o)

Hi,
I haven't really cut out my Caffeine maybe, cut down, but I so enjoy a cup of tea in the morning, and my pepsi max during the day. I was beginning to think that this may have been my problem of not losing constant weight. I am sure the temptation to eat chocolate, once a week does not help either, it also containing caffeine. I have cut down on my chocolate intake though opting for a small freddo frog instead of a full size chocolate bar (45g). I did try the tony ferguson chocolate wafers and they were really tasty, maybe I will pick up a couple on my next visit to TF.

Cheers
Christina

I never gave up my diet coke completely Samantha... I decided that seeing as I don't drink coffee of any type or tea a can of diet coke which has less caffeine than a medium strength cup of coffee wouldn't hurt me too much.. and I don't think it has - though for the last 6 to 8 months I'm lucky if I drink more than about 1/2 a can - I prefer my water now..lol
