A Day on Weightloss

Tony Ferguson Weightloss

Weightloss is where most people will begin their weight loss journey. It is easy to follow and full of variety. Just replace any two meals with our delicious shake or soup, then for your third meal have a serve of protein* (meat or meat alternative) and vegetables*. Two low glycemic index fruits*, more vegetables* and additional extras e.g. diet jelly may be consumed throughout the day as mid meal snacks.

    An Example day on Weightloss

Want to know how to structure your meals while on the Program? Here is a look at what you will be consuming during a typical day.

          Day on Progress

          Tony Ferguson Progress

"We've made Progress so you can continue yours." - Tony Ferguson PhC.MPS

Tony Ferguson Progress is the second phase of our Program. It takes the latest thinking in food psychology and turns it into a practical, easy to follow weight loss strategy. It builds on the weight loss principles learnt in the Weightloss phase and introduces your favourite foods back into your program so that you learn to enjoy the foods you love while still losing weight!

On Progress, the rate of weight loss may be slower than the Weightloss phase, but it can be sustained for a longer period of time and you can actually lose more weight in the long run. You will follow one of two daily plans:

            • Weightloss: 5 - 7 days
            • Progress: up to 2 days (an example typical day is below)

              Hi Malleyflea

just wondering if it makes any difference if you have a salad with lunch shake or not. I would rather just have my veges or salad with my main meal. If I have my allowed quoter at main meal will this make a difference to my results?

              Thanks Shelbs

              Hi Girls,

On most days I would eat at least 8 cups of veges and salad. There is a list of unlimited veges and salad items that are unlimited. You only have to limit your protein to 120g a day that is if your BMI is under 40 otherwise you can have 2x120g serves of protein a day plus your two shakes or soups.

On most days I have a salad or veges with my lunch shake and I have lost lots of weight doing that. Going hungry is bad for your weightloss as the body holds on to fat if it thinks that it is starving. Also your metabolism slows down making weight loss slower.

So, go for it, eat as many veges and salads as you wish as long as the items you choose are from the unlimited list in your TF booklet.

I am really starting to love this program.

I do my shake in the morning and i drink it bit by bit so usually takes about 10 minutes to finish. I feel like i am more satisfied.

I do have a salad at lunch or just cucumber or tomatoes with my shake.

Then i have my dinner and coffee at night. I was very much a night binger now i dont feel like i have too.

Hi, just a quick question, does it matter if you have the protein at dinner or lunch? ie have the protein and veges for lunch and then just the shake and salad for dinner? I wasn't sure if there was a specific reason that we need to have the protein before going to bed to last until morning?

No, there is no reason to not change them around.  I often have omlette (with veges) for a late breakfast on the weekend, then soup and shake for my other two meals.  As long as you have the 3 of them, you can do it in any order you like.

Thanks again! I think I might start having my protein at lunch to help with the afternoons. First weigh in on Monday, first weekend coming up, hopefully I will be able to stick it out!

              Hi there

How long have you been on the program and how much did you have to lose?  I do not sleep well and my biggest problem is the 12 at night eating.  I am in a habit of going to bed at 2am and getting up at 8am.

Is there somwhere that I can enter my weight and track as I go along.  I saw on one of the other members pages they have like a virtual before and after picture, do you now where it can be done.

              Regards

              Amanda G

              Hi there, First Step,

I do not sleep well either but unlike you if I don't go to sleep until 2am, I am always up at 4.45am in the morning and either going for my walk at 5.30am or hitting the gym at 6am.  I consider a good night if I get 4 hours sleep. It's been like that for years and I am a bit sick of it, but I don't have any reason for not sleeping.

              Cheers
