Hi Benno,

I'm sure others will be along with more suggestions.  I really like a grain bread toast (burgen or something, no butter) with scrambled eggs.  I make the scrambled egg with egg, salt, pepper and a dash of water beaten together, cooked in microwave then mushed with a fork.  Doesn't sound real appetising but is yum without the traditional cream and milk usually in scrambled egg.

Otherwise I just have 3 weetbix with hot water and a half cup of milk and tsp of sugar (can't cope without the sugar)

For lunch I have grain bread ham or chicken salad sandwich.  Or salad with a little tin of tuna mixed through.  Just lately I've been having a baked bean toasty with a slice of low fat cheese.  I don't use any butter though, just oil spray.

Hope those suggestions help.  It sounds like you're under control, I'm sure you won't put any weight on!!!  Good luck.

Naomi.

Hi Benno.

I have for breakfast special k and yoghurt and lunch is generally a grainy bread sandwich with meat and salad in it.

Shakes are way easier though!!! Do you really need to go off them?

You can buy Burgen bread at any supermarkets as far as I know, it is fairly expensive though, like anything that's healthy these days.  TF recommend the SoyLin one as the top low GI option  when you're on one shake a day.  Then Country Life, Rye Hi-Soy and Linseed.  There are some others they don't mind too.  I'm pretty sure Tip Top 9 Grain is on the list and that's really nice too.  I hope you go well with your week off.

Naomi.

Hi Benno,

Tried another lunch idea today.  Yummy and filling (I'm a bit of a more is more person).  But anyway, pita pocket halved with a couple slices low fat ham, and slice of low fat cheese on each side then stuffed with salad vegies (grated carrot, lettuce, tomato, cucumber).  Feels like you're eating 2 sandwiches, is really yum and works out to under 400 calories.  You're probably sorry you asked for ideas by now!!!.  Have a good day.

Naomi.

ps. Saw your pictures in before and after.  Well done!!!
