Dear Customers
Tony Ferguson has been cautious in our caffeine guidelines in the past as nutritional
information regarding caffeine has been conflicting. Some studies display a
detrimental affect whereas others suggest beneficial effects.
Our intentions have been to ensure you get the best weight loss and health
improvements possible. Feedback from our customers over time has shown that a
low caffeine intake has not affected their weight loss or health.
A recent look at some of the many studies conducted on caffeine appears that a
low caffeine intake is unlikely to have a huge effect on our weight or health in
general.
Health effects as a consequence of caffeine intake may differ from one person to
another depending on previous caffeine intakes, quantity consumed and health
status. If your doctor has advised you to limit or avoid caffeine for any health reason,
doctor’s advice should be followed.
We would like to take a more balanced view of the matter and have allowed a
limited amount of caffeine on the Program in the past through the allowance of 3
cups of regular tea or 5 cups of green tea. We recognise that having a morning or
afternoon cup of coffee is often a tradition that people find hard to give up and from
experience we feel that having one cup instead of the other caffeinated beverage
allowance if preferred should not affect your customer’s weight loss.
