Hi,
I've just realised I've booked myself to eat out twice tomorrow. For lunch I will be out and about with my boys and a friend and her boys (beach, mini-golf, trampolines, etc). Not sure what we'll do for lunch - most likely cafe/restaurant/fish and chips on the beach. I thought that's fine I'll just make good choices and have my shake for tea.
But then I realised it's mother-in-law's birthday which means either eating at her place or maybe a restaurant.
I don't really want to take my shake with me to either places (will be week 2, day 3 and I'm not ready just yet to answer questions and opinions - feeling pretty emotional fragile at the moment and reckon I'd burst into tears!).
I know I can be TF friendly in my choices (order salad, leave the potato, etc.) but will it matter if I only have one shake for just one day?
Would love to have your advice since this is all still new to me.
Thanks heaps,
Lisa.

it wont matter al all hun, go and enjoy yourself on both outings, as you said make wise choices and just get back into it tomorrow, sometimes these things can't be avoided and no sense in stressing about it....enjoy XX

Well I know what I'm having for tea tomorrow - barbecue. So that's easy - steak and salad for me!!

Now will just have to steer my friend towards a salad bar at lunch time!!

Well I've had my big day out and I've survived (I hope).

Lunch was at Maccas (outvoted by the kids) so I thought I'd try their salad option. I had the seared chicken cesaer and was surprised to see how big it was. The dressing and the croutons came on the side which was great. I skipped the croutons and only had a drizzle of the dressing, which was all that was needed. Shame to throw 3/4 of a packet away, but a girl's gotta do...

Granted it also had parmesan cheese and bacon bits in it but, as I read somewhere on the forum, if you're gonna cheat make sure you cheat with protein (or something like that ). Anyway I still figure it was much better than a burger and chips. And I was FULL - really full for the rest of the day - not the full now but want another burger half an hour later full.

Tea was easy again. Steak, beans, salad and I rescued some tomatoes from a very oily death - what is it with Italians - all there salads are covered in oil! And proud to say I totally skipped the potato salad but must own up and confess I did have a couple of drops of tomato sauce and as it was Nonna's birthday I also had a tiny sliver of birthday cake. Unfortunately that's two birthday cakes in two days but the pieces I had were so small they were really just a taste to join in the fun. Ooohh and I made the cake this morning and I DIDN"T LICK THE BOWL! Woohoo - I've come a long way baby.

Thanks for reading - looking forward to getting back to my two shakes tomorrow!!

Lisa.

Well done.  I saw the salad at Maccas advertised on TV and I thought it looked pretty good and I'm glad to hear that the dressing came in a sachet because I HATE dressings, always have.  The only dressing I have grown used to is olive oil and lemon juice and pepper.

And I laughed when I read you say "what is it about Italians".  I married into an Italian family and we had lunch with Nonni yesterday.  Nonna was horrified that hubby and I are even on a diet (what are you talking about - you don't need to lose any weight you are beautiful now).  I love them.
