Hello again TF'ers

WHAT'S YOUR INSPIRATION?

Tony Ferguson Magazine would like to know what keeps you motivated? Losing weight can be a long, challenging process. Many people focus on a goal or have a specific inspiration that keeps them on track. Is it being able to play with your children? Fitting into an old pair of jeans? Or are you working up to a special event such as a wedding or a reunion? Whatever keeps you going, we want to hear from you! Please email us at editors@tonyferguson.com.

Kind regards,

What keeps me motivated is just sheer determination to get there. I have set myself a big challenge and I intend to get there in the end and come out of it fitter, healthier and have an nutritional education to look after me for the rest of my life. I have more energy to play with my kids, and just generally more energy to get things done. I am now more usefull to everyone around me. But what really keeps me motivated? Is the happiness I feel inside. Content at last that I KNOW I am doing the right thing FOR ME!!!

Lynrose is right - You have to want it. I want it!!!!

One day at a time and One step at a time... I take each day as a new opportunity.

Every day provides me with the opportunity to improve on the day before... With TF I no longer have to worry abut what to eat - so I can concentrate on my exercise plan and routine...
Each day I exercise, I monitor and record the workout statistics and each day I aim to improve on the previous... whether it be the number of calories burned or my average heart rate or time spent in my heart range - so long as each day, I improve - it doesn't have to be a major - any improvement is a step in the right direction...

Already - after only 3 weeks I am noticing that I need to exert more energy to reach my goal heart rate PLUS I am now steadily increasing the time I am able to stay within my required Heart Rate Zone - My level of FITNESS is improving each week... a now able to maintain form and technique for 3/4 of a step aerobics class, dropping to low impact options for the last 10mins - I feel this is a great achievement in only 2 weeks of aerobics classes.

My clothes are now beginning to loosen and I can see that it wont be long before I am able to go down a size in clothing - what a great feeling....

Success IS just around the corner - dont give up!!!!

Hi Everybody
My name is Liz and I joined TF one month ago after tipping the scales at 106kilo's!! I have already lost 6 of those kilos.I am 64 and my inspiration is my dear husband and beloved grandchildren and the fact that I couldn't do my shoes up.I find the programme very easy to follow and am never bored,my goal weight is 80kilo's and have even started to buy smaller clothes to spur me on,there hanging up just waiting to be worn.I wish all club members out there the very best of luck in there weightloss

My motivation lies with old photos of myself. I use to surf and be involved in surf life saving as a teenager and was a size 10, looking back at those photos inspires me and makes me think 'I was that size before, I can be it again!' Even looking back at my wedding photos before I had my kids I would be happy to be back at that stage.

My motivation is my kids i dont want them growing up without a dad in their lives it is simply not fair on them they did not choose to get over weight i did so why should they pay the price for the bad choices that i have made plus i dont want to leave my wife alone to raise our kids up by herself it is not fair on her I mean why should she have to go through the rest of her days without a husband just because he made some very poor choices in his life. Also my goal i keep my eyes on the my goal and what i will look and feel like when i get there it will be so awesome to be free of this weight battle.

My inspiration is to be able to walk around the mall and buy nice clothes around XXL without sitting down all the time because my back hurts or I'm tired, and having to settle for huge shirts size 6XL. I also want to be heathier not only for my own wellbeing but so I am heathier for my kids too, I don't want to be the fat daddy they currently have, there's nothing worse than having someone young or old stare at you because you are overweight.

I'm determined to play basketball again. I've recently injured my back, with three discs bulging. I didn't do anything traumatic to damage the discs so the only cause is the weight around my gut. I have played basketball for 24 years, and reffed it for the past 10. I'm not ready to stop now.

My daughter is 6 months old now, and I want to play basketball with her one day. If I don't lose the weight, I've got no chance of playing again.

So I want to lose weight for myself and my daughter.
