I am a very visual person.

The way that I keep motivated is to look at something that weighs the same as I've lost for the week and my total loss too.

I've done this from the start.

It might be a kilo packet of rice , a bag of oranges, a bag of dogfood etc.......

I only have 2.3kgs to go and I have lost the same amount as my 18 year old daughter weighs.

It really puts my weight loss into perspective. lol!!!!!

Keep smiling

Wendy

I'M A WINNER AT A LOSING GAME!!!!!!

Hi all

My motivation is a combination of things. A bit of a long story!!!!

After lossing nearly 40 kgs two years ago I got to goal at 64kgs. My motivation for that loss was to have a baby. And as most will know having a baby doesn't just happen when and how you want it to. After a year with no sucess I fell pregnant last year and misscarried - twice. And because I had this little plan of how things would go and it wasn't going according to plan and I had fallen quickly back into my old eating habbits - and I had put the weight back on. I have either been on a diet or thinking I should be my whole life. I've never been at a 'normal' weight so I didn't know what to do and I think the program I did didn't provide the support I needed.

So now my motivation is to be fit and healthy and to be ready to have a baby - both in mind and body. It's like I was waiting until I lost weight before my life would start. I want to change my eating habbits and how I deal with my emotions and my relationship with food. To have the spring back in my step and be happy with myself and love myself at whatever weight I am. The funny thing was that when I look back now at some photos of me after I gained about 10kgs of weight I looked really good but I remember at that weight I felt so fat and horrible. I needed a real wake up call, and I think that now I am ready. I've learned lessons of the past and I am ready to live life....

My current weight is 98, my first goal is 88, and my next goal will be 78kg. I will re-assess then. I feel that 64kgs isn't the magic number for me! It might be more like 78kg - we'll see!!

These forums are very inspriational!!!
Thanks for reading,
Chrissy

Hi guys...my inspiration is....me! I decided when i couldnt breathe properly each night when i lay down to go to bed , that it was time to do something, i couldnt fit ANY of my clothes , even work ones, and that i watned to be aife and mother around for a lot longer than i was going to be if i kept going the way i was going!!
I have so far lost 11kg since the 7th jan and am feeling so much better for it!! And yep, i can breathe again at night, i fit back into all my clothes and am sitting here at work(yes i am on night shift!) feeling comfortable in my work clothes again!!!
So i am my inspiration!!
Love sian.

Hi everyone, my inspiration for losing weight is to feel better, to move better, to not have that little "grunt" when I get up from a chair, to like myself in photos, to feel fit and strong, to be able to buy clothes in any kind of shop and get some of those great bargains, to not feel nervous in new situations about what people will think of me. To be comfortable in public spaces and to take up less space. To sleep better, to have more energy, to stress my husband, mum and family out less and most of all, to have the opportunity to get pregnant.
Yep, losing weight will bring a lot to my life, bring it on!

My motivation is a weird one, I started a new job as an Aged Carer and when I had to care for bigger residents I found it hard work on us carers as well as residents, they are so heavy and the equipment you have to use to help lift (hoists) etc is not a nice sight. You can see the look in the residents faces of dignity going out the window, even though we do our job in a polite and private manner I have noticed these signs.
After about 2 weeks at work I said to myself that's it!! I am not going to be a big elderly person needing care, being a burden of others etc and started TF.
After being on the program for a month I then started seeing the tv ad all the time with the man walking through his life and becomming fatter and more unhealthy, then his daughter with the sad look on her face when he could not run/play. I said to myself again, am I doing this to my children? Well not any more, it's time to get healthy and stay healthy. My family have been so supportive and are extremely proud. They wait until I am at work for pizza nights etc and limit their junk food snacks at the supermarket. As well as eating some of the foods I prepare for dinner from the TF books and recipes online which they enjoy.
We all go for bike rides and play squash together on weekends and life is just happier and healthier

Me ready to go out for xmas party  on 21st Nov, 74.6kg...Also my miss skinny 12 year old..ooops she is 13 now..lol

My motivation is simply to be healthy enough to conceive a baby naturally and have a complication free pregnancy and birth. I have dreamed of being a mum for as long as I can remember, and I can't wait! But I have like 80 kgs to lose so it is still a little way off yet. But, the way that time is flying by so quickly these days, it'll be here before you know it!!!

I want to be a good mum and be able to teach my kids how to eat and be healthy and not let them have the same struggles with food that I had all my life. And that's the best start to give them!

My motivation is to lose weight so I can look my best when I walk down the aisle and marry my soul mate on the 17th of October this year. This is a huge motivation for me because over the years i have gained a fair amount of weight and I want stun my future husband's mind when he sees me in my wedding gown! I love him to pieces and we have been through so much over the years, our wedding day is the start of the rest of our lives.

Hi there, My inspiration this week after a gain of 700gms is that my 9yr old has homework to complete and she was asked to tell them what reality show makes a impact on her life - well instead of the simpsons which i was sure was the answer - it was the biggest looser - she stated to the teacher that i watch this to try and help my mun to loose weight - I am not sure if that is what the teacher was after -----she is my inspiration - when she follows me to gym she says - mum just one more set you are doing good. And when she watches my husband and i weigh in every saturday at clinic she always says - mum you have a smile must have been a loss today. This journey with Tf is affecting all our family in some way and we thank TF for this.

up until about 2 or 3 weeks ago I wasnt able to run on the treadmill because i was so overweight but ....then the breakthrough came...cause i lost a small amount of weight (3.5kg) and continued to progress with my powerwalking both at the gym and outdoors, my running came back...for wich I am very greatful to myself and proud of myself for as I used to enjoy my running a lot...but unfortunately this was hampered by knee injuries and food issues ....but its back now thank god lol
