Hey all, whilst in Woolies today, I noticed a new Up&Go for sale $2.99 for 3pack!), and its advertised as Low GI.

Per 250ml drink,
energy 700kj
protein 9.0gm
fat 3.8gm
carbs 22.5gm (13.5gm sugar)

The differences I see between this and a shake are 150kj less energy, less protein, bit more fat, and about 6.5gm less carbs... I'm not sure what the nutrition info of a shakeaway is. Do you think this would be allowed occasionally? I'm really poor at the moment, and i really cant afford to do TF.

I think you could get away with it occasionally, but not daily.

Sammy I am glad you are back with us, I missed your return.

Thanks Julie and Donna!

I'm only just returning Julie, I need an ARSE KICKING!
Donna, so you have been having the regular up&go? I think they are about the same carbs as a shake.. but these new ones are less!!

Thanks again!

Yes I love my morning UP & GO..

I then have fruit for morning tea..

A   T.F shake and salad for lunch..

Fruit for afternoon tea ( or sometimes a diet yoghurt)

For dinner I have salad( as I dont eat vegies) and my serve of protein.

and for desert 2-3 times a week I treat myself to something of less than 100calories, if my week has been good..

Im probably slowing my weightloss down by not sticking to the full program but hey, its working for me as Im dropping a kg a week! If I found my weightloss was plateauing I would do the full program..

Goodluck

Thanks!

If Donna and Mallys son have been using the regular ones, then the new 'vive' ones are probably better for you!!!

hey all, yes they are on special atm and Ive just brought the vive ones, they seem to be alot better for you than the other normal ones, these are basically for times when money is scarce though.

   STARTED TF ON 20/03/07
20/03/07 75.0 3.2 kg loss

atm = 25/3/10 - 68.1kilos

If your strong then you can do anything - Motivation and determintation are the key to success.

Hey there I usually have the up and go shakes twice a day in place of CS, I have found that I am losing more than when on the "proper" shakes. Im on a break atm but will be going back to up and go when im ready to get back into it again. I dont use the vive ones personally, as I find them to watery and have a pretty bad aftertaste. There is no reason why you cant have them reguarly, my advice is try them and if they work for you then thats great but if not just go back to what you normally do. However not everyone will agree with your decision, which is why im on here and not on the cs forum where I was shunned for daring to try an alternative. Best of luck to you
