oooOOOooo i love the TF mag especially seeing some faces behind the names here on the forum however I think you should include their forum name as well when featuring them so us newbies know who is who in the zoo

Also fashion advice for all sizes, what is in this season and where you can get them! I also think the exercise routine is a sweet idea as well as craft but also updates on technological stuff like ipod, etc.

Should provide prizes like gym memberships/ipods/free shakes & soups/ exercise gear etc. I would def be in that lol.

Overall, well done on the mag, im enjoying it very much and its also helped me show my friends and family 'what I've gone and gotten myself into!!!'

Cheers

I would like to see SUCCESS STORIES, SUCCESS STORIES AND MORE SUCCESS STORIES. But instead of the typical " i used to weigh this much and now i weigh this much", etc etc, I would really like to see some in depth stories about a particular persons complete journey. The good the bad and the ugle, so to speak. And prefereably with a full photographic history if possible.

I also agree that fashions for the truly larger woman instead of just for size 16s would be terrific. I mean we all have to wear clothes and it is a lot harder to dress as a size 24 or 26 (or more) than it is as a size 16. So its the bigger sizes that really need the advice, imo. Perhaps a review of particular labels and the type of figure they suit the most would be interesting. Any new and upcoming labels could also be presented.

I also agree that quality make-overs are truly inspirational and would be a great inclusion. It could also be done as a competition each month too. Everybody loves a great makeover. Perhaps it could also show step by step instructions on how the makeover was achieved so that similar looking or shaped people could copy the styling at home.

I really love the suggestion of doing an article on the psychological aspects of weight gain / weight loss. Perhaps we could combine that with the "Dear Abby" suggestion and we could have a "Dear Dr Abby" column where people could write in for psychological type advice on the emotional and mental facet of weight gain / weight loss. We could also possibly present the profile of a particular dieter in each issue with psychological type advice addressing each of the major areas of concern with that particular dieter.

Wow, there has been some great suggestion throughout this thread. I cant wait to read the next issue.

Ditto phee's ideas +

I would like to see some articles related to health aspects of weight. For example, overweight men often suffer and this has enormous impact on their phyche and also their wife/partner in terms of them feeling rejected and a possible cause of their own emotional eating..............also, . I often see overweight people with swollen, red legs with flaky skin or covered in bandages to treat the weeping............and then there's (sp?). This is a growing concern for many people and excess weight is a major contributor.

Had to post again because I bolded the conditions and they were blocked out for some reason so now I have capitalised them.

LAP BAND surgery - there is an interesting conversation at http://forum.tonyferguson.com/Topic501905-7-1.aspx
regarding this subject and Lilac has had the surgery and gives a fantastic first hand insight. She says the food eaten is much the same as TF........she has stopped getting her band 'filled' and is doing TF as she is learning more about food. Would be a most interesting addition to the magazine.

Hi
i am just reading through the spring issue again, and i have my little red and white book out. In this issue, there are a few things that i am trying to cross reference (keep in mind i am only a newbie at tf also) - for eg -- under news & events - theres a peice on nuts - I cant see anywhere where it says what the tf recommended amount is for nuts, then there is milk - and its suggested a glass of milk is to be drunk before you go to sleep - however my understanding is that dairy is kept to a min. Then you turn over the page in the fitness section, theres a peice on beetroot juice - we are allowed only 4 large slices of beetroot, so are we allowed the juice???.

So my suggestion is - when there are food items placed in the mag - including adverts or stories - can there be a notation on the bottom of each peice, such as - **unlimited food** or ** restricted as a treat** or **only such and such amount allowed per day** or for which diet (progress etc) -- perhaps a table might be the way to go

I hope that makes sense

Now my next question would be -- i love nuts, so are we allowed nuts, sunflower seeds etc, if we are allowed any, how many can we have and of what type???

The Tony Ferguson Magazine is designed to compliment all 3 phases of our Programs; Weightloss, Progress and Maintenance.

Therefore the food that may be consumed during each of the Programs differ and thus you will find articles such as the one you mentioned on Nuts or the one on Milk which are more relevant to the Progress and Maintenance phases.

Thank you for the feedback on indicating which phase the article will be useful for, this is something we have been considering.

Regarding your second question on nuts, these are an option for the Progress or Maintenance phases. We don’t include them on Weightloss because although they are very healthy, they are high in kilojoules. You may however have 2 tablespoons of LSA (linseed, soy and almond meal) as part of your good fats allowance.

If you have any further questions feel free to contact our call centre on 1800 612 644.

Kind regards

even though we're all aspiring to wear smaller sizes, lets face it the majority of us still shop in the plus size section of Target or K-Mart, or in plus size stores like Autograph and City Chic, how about if the fashion pages show clothing available from these stores using plus size models.

I also liek the idea of a food diary maybe the equivalent of a month and we could photocopy as required.
