That's a huge effort relle, well done! I'm very impressed, you must be feeling fantastic about it I love it when I achieve pledges or even go over my pledge amount, it really makes me feel like I've achieved so much.

AFM - 20kg down and loving it. I'm actually starting to like my body a bit. More to the point, I can see how I could really begin to love my body if I could just get rid of that extra 10kg! Rofl. I'm wearing tshirts that have been sitting in my drawer for a few months because they were too tight around my tummy for me to feel like I looked ok in them. Now they fit well and I only have to suck my tummy in a LITTLE bit hahahahaha.
I found out yesterday that my dieting buddy (my best friend) is up the duff and therefore unable to diet anymore. I'm soooooooo excited and happy for her... But I'm going to miss the extra oomph that having someone to whinge to constantly gives me lol. So I'm going to have to chin up and get myself moving. The forum gives me plenty to do, but I still found it useful to have someone that I could talk to on msn and the phone with.

But that's ok because I needed to adapt to that anyway. I've changed to celebrity slim for a bit, maybe 2-3 weeks depending on how I go. I want to go back to TF after that though because I like the flavours better *chuckle*. I'm just hoping that the extra carbs for a while will get my body moving again

Afternoon Download.  Sorry I havent been posting but Ive been far too ashamed in myself to post on here.  You see since the wedding I have been suffering a 3 week long "hangover"  I fell and I fell hard!!!

I picked myself up last Wednesday and started afresh and so far so good.  The naughtiest Ive been is too much protein on occassion and too much sugarfree icecream but in my defense its been so darn hot lol.

I had a gain in those 3 weeks so Im hoping beyond hope to be back at the 82.3kg at least on weigh day.  I will be absolutely blown away if Im less but atm my aim is to be back at my lowest weight in YEARS.

As for you madam and your little gain.  Dont stress it.  Sure its a gain but next week you should have a great loss.  Like you I get disheartened when I see people who dont exercise or exercise very little and Im busting my balls at the gym 5/6 days a week and have smaller losses then they do.  At the end of the day this isnt about just having shakes for the rest of our lives.  Its a lifestyle change.  Ive completely changed my lifestyle and I feel proud as punch for doing so.

Ahhh don't worry Tys! The important thing is that you're getting back in there

When I weighed in at the clinic this morning I was the same weight as last week before I started exercising, 86.2kg. So that should probably be about 85.3kg without clothing which I guess isn't too bad. My consultant said that most people stack on heaps of weight when they start exercising because of the muscle gain. They don't tell you that when you start! Lol. But yes, she did say that she's very suprised that I'm still the same weight. The annoying thing is that my waist measurement hasn't changed (82cm... SO close to the healthy range for abdominal fat *sigh*) so I must have lost a little fat elsewhere. Hoping my thighs really, cause they're so flubbery!

I've been considering changing to another diet or something just to get the losses going again but to be honest I don't think that'd work. Arg! The only other thing I can think of doing is trying to get a prescription for Reductil from my doctor. It reduces your appetite which is no issue because lets face it, we don't eat much on TF anyway. But the other benefit is that it ups your metabolism. Having your metabolism slow down because of reduced food intake is generally the cause of a plateau so I have to wonder if it would help.

I'll talk to my doctor about it, if she thinks it's not worth it or not a good idea I won't even consider it. It's more of a flight of fancy really because I only have 10kg to go so chances are she'll say it's not worth it. I'm not a health risk because of my size anymore, I'm just very worried that I won't have those few kgs leeway that I need. I HATE HAVING DEADLINES!!!!

Hellooo? Where is everyone! Lol. Only ten days left of this month and I havne't gotten any weigh in amounts yet. I hope I'm not going to be the only one left come NYE! Oh, Tys will be here of course. She better be... *threatening gesture* Rofl.

Well, the Reductil thing was definately a flight of fancy. I have been loosing weight again . I'm back on the 2 shakes a day diet for good it would seem. I was just paranoid and I felt like I wasn't getting anywhere because I hadn't lost anything (or I'd gained!) for 3 weeks. I know there are a lot of people who plateau for a LOT longer so I should be grateful that it ended relatively quickly but it took me a while to stop stressing. In fact I don't think I did. Lol.
Unfortunately because I have to be under a certain weight for the enlistment process gaining any weight made me really panicked. Now that I'm back to dropping a bit I feel better *chuckle*.

We've only got 6 weeks to go, and I want to loose just over 4kg. Any more than that and I'd be thrilled, but I'm hoping for 80kg by NYE. It's short of my goal but I don't mind

Hi all,

Well after todays weigh in i am now at 76.8kgs... which means i have only 3.8kgs left to reach my target for this challenge. My consultant thinks i am starting to lose weight a little too quickly now... even though i am still on progress. But, its my birthday this weekend and i am planning to splurge on the wine tomorrow night! Next week my consultant wants to reduce my shakes from 11 to 10 (next week after my splurge this weekend) and see if that stabilizes my weight loss. I'm thrilled though that i have lost this much so far though.

Download - good to see you are losing weight again. It seems to me when i exercise intensely it is difficult to find that balance point - where you  still lose weight but are not hungry or energy deprived. You seem really motivated to join the airforce - good luck with that!

Relle - congrats on making pledge - thats awesome!

Hope everyone else is having a good week

NYE Challenge: Pledged 20kgs: made pledge! 93kgs to 72.9kgs

Howdy Doody boys 'n' girls - I'm back!  Fresh, relaxed and F.A.T. from our trip up north!!  Went along for weighin this morning (VERY reluctantly as I knew what had happened!) - have gone and spoilt my nice clean record of 3 months with 800grams on.  Bugger.  Keep watching this space though......!

Got lots of threads to wade through and need to re-visit the befores & afters to get the inspiration up, although doctor rang me this morning to congratulate me on dropping my A1C & cholesterol levels to a very acceptable level thereby having avoided any medication, whew - thanks TF!!   Thats certainly helped my motivation level

Anyway, enough of me - Hope you're all having a wonderful week & here's to a great weekend.

I reckon you can do it Tys, we've got 6 weeks so fingers crossed!

My scales have broken! OH NOES!!! They're not even 3 months old and for some unknown reason they've stopped working. They're Salter body fat scales so they aren't cheap and you'd think they'd last forever, but nope . They have a head office in Springvale which isn't too far away from here so I'm going to take them in next week. I don't have the receipt anymore but hopefully a repair won't be a problem.

I'm so annoyed about it because now I can't weigh myself! I'm a total weigh in junky lol .
