Dave O'Neill has set the pace among four mates in the Tony Ferguson Weightloss Challenge, shedding 22.9kg in six weeks.
The Abcoe managing director wants to lose a further 8kg and win the large Sanyo plasma TV on offer for his favourite charity.
"I feel great after losing the kilos and want to maintain this," Mr O'Neill, 39, said.
Previously 129kg, the former rugby league player is a slimmer 107kg and, more importantly, also dropped a couple of belt notches.
"The diet is an education in itself and I have changed my lifestyle," Mr O'Neill siad.
"Best of all, I don't snore anymore."
On a typical day, he used to gulp down five diet colas in addition to numerous sugary snacks, which on top of his regular meals, added kilos to his weight and centimetres to his waist.
Abcoe co-owner Jonathan Wall has trimmed 8kg from his previous 125kg after having a closer look at his lifestyle.
"Before starting the diet, I was working too hard and not exercising, eating the wrong foods," Mr Wall, 41, said.
"Now I can do exercise I could not attempt before and feel more energetic."
Panthers marketing manager Shannon Donato would like to return to his playing weight of 88kg. It ballooned to 118kg but he is serious about being fighting fit again.
"I have lost 8kg as it's an ideal way to change my poor dietary habits," Donato, 34, said.
There is a month to go in the challenge with the rest, including Sanyo's Bill Crichton - who shed 7kg from his 111kg frame - keen to match Mr O'Neill's commitment to weight los and exercise.
