Hi Everyone

I have been on tf since jan this year and lost 15 kilos and the last 6 or so weeks have been extremly tough.

There was a tough time that i incurred in june and lost track of what i was doing.

I eat like i have never seen food before almost like binge eatting... I feel soooooo sick afterwards but i cant stop it

Each day i tell myself thats it that i will stop this and start again. I need to get to my goal weight by November Im tired of being this person again...

Id appreciate it if you could kindly give me some motivation or tips on how to get control of myself again.

Hi there,Have you read the book - Weight loss for food lovers?  It delves a bit into the reasons why we are overweight and why we might overeat.  I can recommend the book.  It really helped me to sort through some of my issues.

I truly believe that losing weight and takign control of our eating is only partly to do with what we put in our mouth and mostly to do with why.  Once you have a clearer veiw of why you overeat or sabotage yourself then the what we put in changes.

Good Luck to you

ON TF MAINTENANCE SINCE 11/08/09 AND KEEPING IT OFF!

"No matter who you are,

no matter what you do,

you absolutely,

positively

do have the power to change."

Hang in there hun and take it one day at a time,
don't put yourself under pressure,
don't kick yourself when you step sideways,
just keep ploughing forward and keep positive,
remember we're all here for you every step of the way...
set small goals and reward yourself for each one

Hi! I'm a restart, as of yesterday. When I was chatting to the lady at TF, she told me about a different program they have just started called 'progress' or something like that. Apparently, it allows you to eat a little of what you're craving during the week to still have a steady weight loss. The consultant also told me that if I had any concerns or felt like I was struggling to chat to her or another of the TF staff as 9 times out of 10, there is a solution. Is this possible for you? Could you pop into a TF shop and have a chat? Best of luck!

Karen

03/08/09 - 82.9kg (restart) Waist - 99cms
11/08/09 - 80.9kg (total loss 2kgs) Waist - 96cms

Goal weight - 55kg
First goal = 5kg loss by 8th September 2009

Pledge 5kgs for Spring Challenge
Pledge 28kg by NYE...down to goal!! Wonder if it can be done?!

You say you need to get to goal by November, how important is it to you? I don't mean its not important, but I mean to really ask your gut how important it is. Sounds like your unconscious isn't down with November being a good thing. We all have reasons for being overweight, that our unconscious will keep throwing up when we try to lose weight, until the reasons have been dealt with. Mine was safety. It was safe being large. Took me over 20 years to finally be ready to deal with the reason and shed the weight. You might want to look at counselling to see if there's anything to it. At the very least, having someone to talk to really helps.

Hi Lilac

Achieving my goal by November was very important to me and I have worked really really hard to make it but as time closes in it doesnt seem to happen.

Not sure now if its my thyroid condition that is interfering or just my body playing tricks... I honestly cant say i have a reason for being over weight.

Other then having put on 30 kilos with my thyroid condition and then struggled to take it off... And i have even seeking counselling for the self esteem issues that i have with my appearance and the person i am but it just doesnt seem to help.

Im glad that you have found the strength within you to change to the person that you have wanted to become. Some of us just arent that fortunate.
