I have also started today and can not believe I am actually feeling full after the shakes.
I know I have a long road ahead of me (need to lose more than 30kg) and feeling a little overwhelmed. We have such a busy social life and with summer ahead and the aussie bbq am worried I will not get through it and find some excuse to relax as I have with weight watchers in the past. Focussing on the positives that it feels so good to have a yummy crunchy salad for lunch (does anyone know if sesame seeds are allowed) and the kids and I will frolic by the waters edge at the beach this summer. yah bring on the warm weather.
Great to hear everyones amazing stories, that will be an inspiration.

| OMG OMG OMG - I DID IT!!! Hmm okay to fill you in now after that excitement lol Had to go into Brissy today for an appointment with hubby. So we decided to make a day of it and do some shopping before his appointment. So I decided this morning to be organized and take my food with me and hubby could just get whatever he wanted when we went in there. I made a salad, took some jelly, ice-packs, water and a lunch shake (forgot my fruit but didn't give it a thought till we got home) We ate in a food court (Hubby had Oporto lol his favourite) and I sat there with him and ate my salad!!! OMG I had people eating KFC and Macca's on either side and that food smelled so damn good...... but I resisted the urge to buy anything... I WANT SO BAD TO BE HEALTHY AND HAVE ENERGY! I know that eating those foods won't get me to my end goal... So a YAY for me lol But... we called into the supermarket to get food for tea for the kids and I soooo badly wanted the ladies basket in front of me!! She had all my old favourites in it. In my basket was my fruit and vegies I needed. So out I walked carrying my fruit and veg, shopping was worse than sitting in that food court!! Note to self - DO NOT GO SHOPPING WHEN YOU'RE FEELING EVEN IN THE SLIGHTEST BIT HUNGRY!!! Today I tried the strawberries and cream shake - It was nice (not as nice and the butterscotch or the banana) but nice all the same. So I've got fruit and protien and 150ml's of water left on my must have's for today. Will have some vegies with dinner when I make it (the kids have already eaten as they were starving and in need to be out. So almost another day down. Just starting to deal with the monsters in my head I think... grr... It's also ttom and I always crave chocolate now (always have grr) Hoping that writting this down helps me to see why I eat and how I deal with the emotional stuff. (if this thread needs to be moved because I plan to write in it daily, then by all means mods please do so - I'll understand x)

Day 1 for me as well.
I enrolled with TF today and taking on a challenge that I know I want to succeed at.
My initial goal is to go from 105kg down to 90.
Here's hoping that my determination will be what gets me through.
I'm smiling and that helps.
Cheers

| Another day closer to friday and i'm hanging out!! Resisted another huge temptation today... A friend bought a huge container of lollies and biscuits and dip to our study group.... and I didn't eat a thing! Woo Hoo - I had my shake, salad and a container of strawberries (washed and cut) that I ate through the afternoon instead. Had a super tonight with a group I go to (kids and their parents). I am leader there and helped organize it all. I put out chocolate cakes, party pies etc and then went to the fridge and grabbed out my apple and ate that whilst talking with parents instead. I know this is the beginning and I may not always resist but I'm proud of myself for getting off to a good start. I'm tired though of hearing negative comments when someone sees me making a shake our putting TF dressing on a salad grrr....It WILL work because I want this SOOO bad.. and I know I will never be able to achieve my goal weight and still eat the way I was - I have to change and learn what I can and can't have as common foods in my diet. Not to say I can't ever have chocolate again - I just won't ever eat the whole block in one sitting 2 chocolate shakes today and chicken and vegies for tea (on the run mind you but I managed!) I hope everyone else is doing well x

| Oh wow one week down! Weighed in friday and I have released 3.4kgs from my unhealthy frame woo hoo!! Was very happy with that! Had a super huge weekend - had the chance to attend a charity ball saturday night and had the most amazing time - i gave my self a reprieve (I don't get out much lol) and ate the 3 course meal (it wasn't too off the program.... but...) oh well and sunday night being fathers day we went out for dinenr... I ordered my meal with chips and salad and swapped my chips for my sons salad lol. So all in all not too bad. Started again adhering strictly to the program this morning... hoping i haven't done too much damage - I did drink alot of water saturday night. Oh I only lost .1cm from my waist? is this normal? I was worried about that! But i have lost a few centimetres off my thighs as I can fit my jeans properly so thats a bonus! I tried the cauliflower popcorn late last week too and that was yummy! A big welcome to all the new people to the forum!
