Hi everyone,

I was away the last 2 weeks in Hawaii. I brought the shakes with me etc...but gosh it was so hard that i stopped and ate whatever i wanted on holiday. I thought i had gained so much weight and felt bad but knew once i got back i would continue on the TF program.

So i had my 6th weigh in on Saturday and it only said i had gained 300grams to my astonishment and the lady was very rude and said she had to re check my bmi and do my height and weight measurement. She said i can't sell you anymore shakes as your BMI is now at 21. I  felt quite disappointed coz feel within myself i have about 3 more kilos to lose. I still look awful in a bikini btw lol.

So she booked me in to see someone to go onto maintenance. I have filled in the form and it says do you want shakes as snacks? How many shakes will they sell me if I am on maintanence? Obviously i don't want to eat 2000 cals like others on maintanance as I still want to lose the other 3kg?

So only after being on TF for 5 weeks losing 4-5 kilo's i was very shocked to be told they can't sell me any more shakes!

AW.

Gee whiz, she sounds HARSH!!!

Well if you really want the shakes, I would get them from ebay otherwise I do know that some girls have lost on maintenance still so I guess you should see who has lost on maintenance and ask them their opinion!

I am a long way off maintenance

I suppose they are just trying to make sure that you are kept healthy.  There can be problems if you are underweight, just as there can be problems if you were overweight.  I personally think that it is great that the TF staff are taking this seriously and that they are paying attention to who is using the program  This to me is responsible sales.

That being said I am on maintenance and I still am losing - I think this is normal in the first few weeks as your body stabilizes into the new routine.

You could quite possibly lose that extra few kilos on maintenance so I say give maintenance a chance.  Wouldn't you rather be eating a variety of healthy foods anyway?

Take Care

ON TF MAINTENANCE SINCE 11/08/09

v  In 42 weeks (14/10/08 – 10/8/09) I lost 38.4 kilos.  And on maintenance I lost another 2 kgs.

v  TOTAL WEIGHT LOST 40.5 KILOS!

v  I started at 110.4 kilos and dropped to 72 kgs.  I am now 70kgs.

v  My waist measurement dropped 24cm from 98 cm to 74cm.

v  I started out as a size 18/20 top & 22/24 bottom.  I am now a size 10-14.

v  My BMI was 39.2 which was obese. I am now in a healthy weight range.

v  THANKS TF I COULDN’T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU!!

Hi

I am just curious to know what your height is. I am on maintenance, and although you still lose weight, it is very gradual and slow. I am stuck on 51.7 for 3 weeks now, and I am doing treadmill for 45 minutes every night and weights

I am a little amazed that my weight has not shifted, eventhough I am not looking to lose much anymore. Ring the 1800 number for their opinion hun.

Good luck.

Hi Aw

Rosebud and Angie are quite right. I have been on maintenance for about couple of months now. I lost 4 kilos in quick succession when I got onto the maintenance programme. But like Angie, Am stuck at 54.7 for god knows how long

I still have the option to swap to 2 shakes a day programme to lose the 2.7 kilos that I want to lose. But I love being on maintenance haha I can't imagine not having all the wonderful food I have been having

So give maintenance a go. I was initially totally perturbed about going onto maintenance but you'll love it like the rest of us

Good luck hun

Emma

Thanks everyone for your replies

I am 5 foot 10 and 66.2kg as of this morning so apparently my BMI is at 21.

I will give maintanance a go. Do they still have to weigh you each week?

I think i will have 1 shake a day as well and start having wholegrain bread once a day and see if this stops me from losing weight. Fingers crossed!

Hi Aussiewen,

I'm still on the progress program, but I am going to Hawaii next week. I didn't think you were allowed to take the shakes because they were a dairy product. I don't want to pack 2 weeks worth of shakes and get there only to have them taken off me and destroyed.

Where did you find out that you could take them?

Hi there,

I didn't think it was a problem as its is just a supplement. I told them about my fibre and that was fine too.

I wouldn't bother about the shakes...i thought i could stick to it while there but no way. It was just too hard. Just go and enjoy yourself and go back on TF when you get back.
