Well I've been on TF 4 weeks today and have lost a total of 4kg. THat is my mantra today "4 weeks 4 kgs" because I actually only had a 0.2 loss this week.

Dh has flown out of state for  a few days - on Father's day no less!

I saw that another poster had started a blog of sorts and really liked the idea. Feel free to post replies or PM me.

This week I feel like I've 'worked' the program pretty well

Exercise  : 30 minute walk and 40 mins netball on Monday, work Tuesday, walked kids to school Wed (maybe 20mins?), Pilates Thursday, work Friday, 45 min walk with dh Saturday, 45 min walk today. Ok that's four days out of seven. At work I do a fair bit of walking, I'd guess at least 40 a day because my department is a good 10 minute walk from the main building and I have to go back and forth several times!

Alcohol: none, nary a drop

Water: this is my bad point. Some days I'm lucky to get a glass in. I'm working on that - trying to keep a 1 litre bottle near my computer at work, and I have a water bottle in my study at home.

Challenges: went for a walk this morning with a friend. She was hungover so she ate a chocolate bar as we walked!!!!! and then had a sausage roll and sauce when we finished, as we were watching soccer. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH the smell of chocolate.

INterestingly I have two friends who seem very down at the moment, and are both unhappy that they are gaining weight. I have found my mood to be pretty UP since being back on TF.

This week's challenge will be to cook and eat good meals with DH out of town, i"m sure my kids would happily eat baked beans on toast every night!

I was making a lunch salad today and I"m feeling a bit bored so I think I need to mix it up a bit with the veges

4kgs in 4 weeks is very realistic!!!

But remember we all have slip ups and temptation is

merely a few feet away......

My daughter had carrott cake this afternoon right

under my nose.....GGrrrrrr!!!

thankyou cheer squad!!

I've come home from Scitech at 4.30pm and realised I never got around to having my lunchtime shake!
I had some homemade soup at 11am cos I was hungry, then a salad at 12 ish ,and then didn't feel like anything else. I"ve just had my afternoon fruit and I figure I'll just make dinner and be done with it. I don't see the point of forcing down food I don't want. Mabye I'll be a little more generous with the protein portion - seafood stirfry tonight.

this has been a shocker of a week so far. Monday morning I decided to drive dh's car and managed to clip a wall reversing. Then at netball I got a badly injured finger which is now strapped. Dh is away for a few days and I hate it when he is away.

The GOOD thing is I haven't comfortd myself with carbs. My biggest 'lash out' has been making a big bowl of mashed cauliflower and pumpkin with peas (pumpkin and peas in daily limit) and eating it as comfort food.

so whilst I'm frustrated with the way the week has gone for me, I'm happy that I'm not slipping into old habits of consoling myself with food.

the week is improving. I jumped on the scales for a  midweek weigh and I"m down 0.2 so that's ok.

Also, I foolishly tried the 'new' vegemite on carrot stick OMG IT"S GOOD. I'm sure it's not good for me tho!

Confession time. I went out to a quiz night last night (we won, just so you know!) and took two bottles of diet mineral water with me, and we made guacomole at the table (it was all very last minute) which I ate with carrot and celery sticks, but at the end of the nigh I sucuumbed to the lure of the almonds!

Hope it doesn't show too badly on the scales tomorrow

in a fit of madness i weighed myself this morning a day early and I'm down 1.2kg for the week WOOHOO. If it the same tomorrow (official weigh in day) I'll be very happy - that would be just over 5kg in 5 weeks

SERIOUSLY hungry now at lunchtime - shaky hungry, so I'm adding a tiny tin of tuna to my salad.

official weigh in day and I am down 1.4kg for the week WOOHOO. That's 5.4kg in 5 weeks. Pretty bloody happy! Still feel like I'm
"in the zone" and just getting on with the whole program. I have friends coming over for a craft day on Wednesday so I'm going to make a big crockpot of soup, and a huge bowl of salad, and they can have bread with it if they want, I'll stick to veges!

WEEK SIX

only 0.1kg loss this week, but all week I thought I was going to gain so I'm pretty damn happy. Also, I seem to be in a set pattern of big loss one week, small loss the next. 

Wednesday was my craft day and as planned I made a huge pot of TF soup, and a massive salad. I also made  bread in the breadmaker for my non TF friends, which I actually don't have a huge problem resisting anymore (chanting 'five and half kilos, five and a half kilos'  under my breath helps!!). I had a friend there who is starting TF and was going to have "just one slice of bread" and I took it off her! Hail Kirsten, the carb police!!

Last night we had a dinner party for 6 at our house. I did a slow cooker roast and lots of veges, and my friend who brought dessert bless her did poached pears with only a wee bit of sugar. I was all set to just not eat dessert but I thought that was too close to perfect to pass up! I did of course forgo the cream/icecream topping option, and enjoyed a VERY nice glass of vintage Dom Perignon before dinner. Hey, if I"m only drinking once every month or so then DAMNIT I'm having something good. Oh, and about half a glass of a nice red the other friends brought along. I deliberately didn't buy chocolate to go with the after dinner decaf coffee, and made the pre dinner nibbles TF friendly.

THis week is going to be challenging. I have a funeral to go to and possibly help with and the temptation to comfort eat will be strong.
