| I love online menus! Had a girls' lunch to go to yesterday at the local tavern, so I looked online at their menu and found they had a salmon salad with sundried tomatoes and baby spinach. I ended up running late for the lunch waiting for a delivery at home, so I rang one of the gals and had her put my order in for me. onlne menus - as they used to say in another program - if you fail to plan, you plan to fail!

Week seven, down 0.9kg for a total of 6.4kg. Had a very carby day on Wednesday as I had an endoscopy in the morning and of course it's sandwiches afterwards isnt it? THen spiralled into toasted sandwiches when I got home, popcorn, oranges, and rice with dinner. AH well, no crap at least.

| WEEK EIGHT Very happy with this week's progress. The pattern so far has been one week of big loss then one week of little loss, so I"m delighted that I was down 0.7kg this week Challenges: we had a breakfast meeting on Friday morning at work. I had my shake at home before I went, took in a huge platter of fruit for all and then ate only the strawberries and considered that my morning tea! Then yesterday we went to the Royal Show. We went out to the supermarket and bought lots of snacks and juice boxes etc for the boys, and packed diet solo and coke zero and a bag of almonds for dh and me. I had planned to take a meal replacement bar for dinner but COMPLETELY forgot. After about three laps of the showground we found a food hall that had a Chinese place so I had a combo plate with no rice or noodles. Not perfect I know, but no obvious carbs, although I'm sure I could TASTE some sugar. But I didn't succumb to chips, fairy floss or any lollies. Even the kids wanted non-lolly showbags which helped a LOT! Anyway I had weighed myself yesterday and today I was down another 0.1kg so I'm ecstatic! My GP is also very happy with my progress. I got diagnosed with fatty liver a few months back and that keeps me HIGHLY motivated. I think today may have to be a rest day from everything as my legs still hurt from all the walking yesterday.

| WEEK NINE It's been school holidays here so there have been a few indiscretions - mainly involvig movies and popcorn! I'm only down 0.2kg this week but frankly I was expecting a gain so I'm delighted. I've never lost weight 9 weeks in a row that I can remember! Went and picked up shakes yesterday and grabbed a couple of the new Pea&Ham soup - will try that for lunch today. Also got all the desserts to try over the next two weeks and work out which one I like. Very pleased the new magazine is out - my winter one was looking a little dog eared! Still on track for my 10kg in 100days goal. We are off to Sydney in three weeks and it will be nice being able to pack my dressy black trousers, knowing that they fit now!

| forgot to post on Sunday - busy packling up #1 son for camp! lost 0.5kg week ten, which is continued steady loss, so I'm glad had a bit of a crash off the wagon yesterday. Went too long before morning tea, and came home and couldn't resist the lemon cake (THIS is why I never bake!) So that and then a big bowl of popcorn for lunch and I felt shocking afterwards, could feel the blood sugar swinging back and forth But here's the thing, I didn't even wait until the next day to get back on the wagon, I managed to get back on for dinner! For some crazy reason then I weighed myself this morning, and I'm actually down 0.2kg for the week already. You would think that I would take that as an excuse to continue to be 'naughty' but in fact it just motivates me to keep on keeping on! TOTAL OF 8KG OFF NOW!

I think your body will thank you for having a steady weight loss, and as they say, its more likely to stay off too  Sometimes your body becomes used to the same old eating plan and routine, like with plateaus, by cutting carbs can push your body back into fat burning mode, well I have heard upping carbs can do the same thing. (not that I suggest being 'naughty' )
We are only human afterall, and I think by having something 'naughty' but getting straight back on with the diet shows you have alot of willpower....awesome stuff hun

| week eleven I've had my first gain in 11 weeks! Up 0.2kg this week and I completely deserve it as I've had a couple of bad days. To top it off I have my son's birthday party today and so that will be challenging as it is from 10-1 and I dont have any snack bars to take with me! If I can I'll hang out till I get home to have my soup, otherwise I'll try and find something vaguely healthy to have for lunch while I'm out. Also slipped yesterday and hurt my toe and so I think that walking, netball and Pilates are all out this week!

| I'm having another challenging week. Lots of carb cravings. Trying to double up on the chromium - one at breakfast and one at lunch - and take advantage of the weather and get out and walk most days. I don't think i'm going to make the 10kg in 100 days goal, but rather than that get me down I'm focussing on the fact that I HAVE lost over 7kg! I'll let the 100days ride out and then re evaluate. In a perfect world I would say 10kg by Christmas - it would be nice to have that in my head when I catch up with family for the first time in a year! - but I know what a challenge Nov/Dec is with all the parties and such. I'm off to Sydney for a weekend with dh next weekend and I'm not going to go stupid but I'm also not going to let being on program make me miss out on a good time. I 'm actually thinking about going into the chemist and having a chat about doing progress or maintenance for a while over the silly season to make it more manageable.

| Sigh. ANother crappy weeek!! 0.4kg gain this week for me. This is the point where I start wanting to not weigh in and not post to forums, but I'm determined to keep trying. I'm trying to work out what has changed for me over the past few weeks that has made this plateau happen. What I do know is that I haven't been eating salad at lunch. I'm just OVER salad. I think I need to find an alternative lunchtime vege snack to supplement the soup. I have been walking most days, and the netball season started so that all helps. Also I realised that drinking green tea gives me a slightly dry mouth and therefore makes me drink MORE fluids so instead of making just a cup of it in the morning I am making up a litre of it in an insulated coffee plunger that I have. I figure if I get through that then that's my first litre of water for the day. Also if I make up a litre and have it sitting there I'm more inclined to top up my cup that if I have to get up and reboil the kettle!! I might fill a 1 litre water bottle as well every morning and see if I can get through that. We are off to Sydney for the weekend on Friday so that will hold all sorts of challenges. I'm going to take some shakes/soups/bars with me but how many of them I actually use is another thing altogether. I'm hoping to find the spearzone tea in teabag form before then so I can take that with me rather than toting around leaves and a plunger!! Thanks for the feedback Krissy - it's nice to know someone's reading! onward and upward (well, onward and downward hopefully!)
