Hi Mallyflea,

I worked it out. When I went online through Internet Explorer I could not download it, but when I went through firefox it worked. Must be my firewall on internet explorer.

Thank you for your help.

Hi Mallyflea,  or anybody else with an idea !!

I'm looking for some inspiration .....lastnight we roasted in an oven bag a peice of "heart smart" beef but it turned out very tough......

Tonight I thought I might mince the already cooked meat and.......maybe rissoles...?????

How would I do this and still be within the TF guidelines ??????

mincing already cooked meat may not hold together as rissoles

why not make a TF friendly chow mein

Chow Mein

1 small onion diced                                1 teasp. curry powder
500gr. mince  (your cooked meat)            1 pkt. chicken noodle soup    (noodles removed)
1 cup cubed carrot                                salt and pepper if needed?
1 cup frozen beans                                ½ small cabbage - shredded
2-1/2 cups water                                  2 Tab. cauli grated to resemble rice

Heat through your cooked "mince"gently  in 1 Tab. oil
add all other ingredients...

Stir occasionally and cook for 20 mins..

Serves4

if your meat is less than 500g just adjust the recipe to suit....

or make a shepherds pie... (remember your meat is already cooked so just play with the recipe...)

Sheppard's pie with notatoes serves 4

Ingredients

4 x 120g lean mince (females)
4 x 220g lean mince (males)
2 x small onions, diced
2 x cups mixed veggies, chopped (from allowed list)
2 x tomatoes, diced
1 x teaspoon crushed garlic
1 x teaspoon each cumin, tumeric and basil or any herbs and spices you like
notatoes (cauliflower recipe)
spray olive oil
1 x cup of greens gravy granules (your choice of flavour)

Notatoes

Use a whole cauliflower, cut into florets and steam until just tender. Place tender cauliflower in a blender with a small clove of roasted garlic (optional) and 75g or 3 tablespoons of philadelphia extra light cream cheese and process until smooth.

Method

Heat pan and spray with olive oil, add mince, herbs and garlic, cook until brown. Remove and place in oven proof dish. Cook onions and add to mince. Put veggies in pan with 1/2 cup of water and cook until just tender. Make 1 cup of greens gravy granules add to veggies and heat, then pour over mince and onions, mix together.

Microwave tomatoes for 1 minute on high. spread over mince and veggies and cover with notatoes.

Put under grill to brown. Put in oven 180C to heat through if needed or if reheating.
