Hi Chickibabes

Sheri-lou - thanks for that... The funeral was on Saturday and it was the best it could be celebrating his life, but a very sad state of affairs as well - just a few weeks off his 40th birthday.

LillShell - NICE TO SEE YA! Love tosee you in the threads, but HEY, there's no rules about how often you post, just come on by :O)

Jen - Totally agree with you - no rules that's for sure. I'm sure when I get a 'proper job' I won't be scrolling quite so much lol.

Eve - I'm so pleased the outcome of your friends passing wasn't anything untoward. It's bad enough to lose a friend without speculation and pointing fingers. Big Hugs they can now RIP x

Nikki - I reckon it's good to shake things up if you're plateauing... sometimes a change is good :O) What's a kickstart plan?

ReadytoRoll - Maybe tis just fluctuations if you weren't all that bad. Takes alot more to put on real weight so I'm sure you'll be fine!

Dianasaur - Ya Legend! Well Done

Wishful Thinking - Don't worry hun, you're in good company - I've stacked weight on over these last few weeks! Shockingly so that I'm not even going to post it hehe. I'm starting detox tomorrow - join me :O)

Well we had Tiny's funeral on Saturday and it was the best it could be.  Awesome turnout for him and lots of great stories to tell.  Of course one of the stories kinda mentioned his weight, they weren't being mean, just realistic.  His weight was a major contributing factor to his death being over 160kg.  They had a custom-made coffin for him which was so large, 10 men carried it and it couldn't fit into the furnace at the place of memorial - had to be transported elsewhere afterwards.  It's been said if this touched just one person to make a difference in their health then Tiny would be happy to have passed on that lesson.   I started thinking, that one person has to be me...I dont' need to be 'thin', but I want to be out of the 100's so much.  If I was to pass away too soon, I do not want anyone saying to my family and friends it was morbidly obese!

I'm starting detox tomorrow (yes, another tomorrow lol).  I have Tiny's memorial sheet on my fridge. Not as a ghoulish reminder, but a reminder of the awesome life that was cut too short unnecessarily.  He had the world at his feet in so many areas, his friends and relatively new thriving business Synit Fishing Rods and a real passion for life (and fishing!).

Apparently he died sitting on his Ab Pro thingy with a cigarette in one hand and coffee in the other - that made me laugh ;o)

Tomorrow's a new day, let's make it count

x

Hello hello!

Hehe Wishful Shrinking I didn't even know one could get sick of chocolate let alone break the barrier! I am doing a kickstart diet at the moment, am on Day 3.  No results yet, but time will tell

San -- it's www.kickstartdiet.com.au if you want to check it out.  I'm on Day 3 today, and am loving all the fruit I can eat

Hello where is everyone else?  I hope you are having a lovely Monday

Well as for me, I'm on day 3 of this plan, and enjoying it, although I am missing my meat!! Tomorrow I plan to stay on track but I am going to a Melb Cup picnic and plan on a few vodka and soda waters, which isn't exactly on the plan, but food-wise I will be an angel

Nikki x

Have fun Nikki, and good luck on the food plan, and do enjoy those Vodkas.  Are you placing a bet on the big race, I will be at work lucky me so will have to trust hubby to do all the betting.

Me giving it another go!!! Thanks Mally

Morning

Nikki - Hope you're going well on the KickStart - I took a look and I don't think I could do all the soup!  It's similar in some ways to the 10day thing I'm doing, just loads of fresh foods and seafood.  hope you get some results, I'm pretty sure a couple of voddies can slide in no worries, no fat/no sugar :O)

Today's my first day of detox.  It's also my last day of freedom!  The agency spoke with the client and I'm starting the part-time jobbie tomorrow YAY - will be good for my head space if nothing else    I I SOOOOO wanted to take myself out for breakfast today to celebrate some kind of normality but stuck with my muesli/soy/yoghurt and black coffee.  I've had prawns for lunch and will probably have a nice piece of fresh fish for dinner - with vege of course.

I had to really FORCE myself not to put my hand in the biscuit tin with my coffee mid-morning but kept looking at Tiny's picture on my fridge and I promise myself that I won't keep growing at the rate I have these last few weeks - scary scales this morning... very verrrrrrrrry scary!  I can't even say it outloud, but will update my ticker shortly.  Since breaking up with said boy I think I've replaced one kind of lovn (if ya know what I mean...) with another - food! aaaaargh.  I'm officially the same weight as I was last Christmas - NOT a happy Jan.

:O(

Good on you for staying strong San!!  Well done!  The kickstart diet is really hard, I can tell you that - but I keep reminding myself it's only for a few days and then I can go back on TF, probably the Progress plan rather than the two shakes.

Cheers Nikki   I guess it's a matter of recognising where we've fallen down and doing something about it.  So long as that keeps happening we haven't failed eh

I think short bursts of detox or kick-starts (like what you're doing) really do work.  If nothing else it kicks the boredom of one plan to the curb for a while and gives you a fresh outlook.

Can't wait to see your results Nikki.

ReadytoRoll - The race is 5pm here in NZ tomorrow.  It's my first day of work but I'll be home before it starts... might just pop into a TAB for a bit of a flutter ;o)

Where the heck is everyone else.... ???

Hello again

R2R I missed your post!  Sorry!  No bets for me -- just a couple of drinks and a picnic in the sun with some friends this year.

San, I agree - I have been so on track with this detox program even though it's harder than TF, the change is just so nice.  I even got a baked potato for dinner last night! it was the biggest potato I could get my hands on too LMAO

kjb kat if you can lose 600 grams after still being naughty, more power to you I say!  Well done

Nikki x

Hello All
Well I went for my walk this morning...nice weather not too hot like last week (45!!), got home and jumped on the scales...and back off, then back on, repeat, repeat, tried the left leg first, then the right but damn...same as last week and thought I did pretty well too.

There is no way I'm gonna make the pledge :-(

I am going to start detox on Wednesday...it's my baby girls 8th birthday tomorrow as well the Melbourne Cup so there is some celebrating to be had!

Sandrdee - glad the funeral went nicely (well as good as one can) and you have a renewed sense of direction...hope the job goes well tomorrow...just think it is still about 7 weeks till Chrissie you'll be way under last years XMas weight by then

Nikki -I will give the kickstart a go just for a week ...may be hard to get all the soup down  in the heat over here! Have you jumped on the scales yet to see if the scales are moving in the right direction?? mmmm the thought of banana smoothies makes my mouth water

My 8 year old daughter had a Halloween Party on the weekend...have a look below...what a pisser...she was supposed to be a devil but looked more like Wednesday from the Adams Family...she had a ball!

AFM…Had a nice weekend went to a party sat afternoon/night and had a few drinks and yes I ate crap food but in saying that I was much more in control than the old me.. so that’s a bonus

Went walking both mornings probably did round 6ks each day so yay for me... In saying that the scales aren’t looking all that great…Definitely have to do something…Detox???…lol…maybe…will seriously have to think about it again...

Tomorrow I am going to start to write everything down that I eat as I know I’m cheating so it may keep me a bit more in line…
