I lost 21 kilos on TF a year ago. People were telling me how good I looked and I started to think I had done it. I had another 20 or so to lose. In the past six months I have put on 6 kilos and I feel I have lost the TF rhythm. I need help again. I don't know where to start. Help me! How do I train my mind into thinking that I need to keep going when I get those compliments. I hate it when people say you better stop losing weight or there will be nothing left of you. I believe it and it is way, way to soon to believe it. I was in such a good frame of mind before. Now I have lost the TF drive.

Silly Kim

Hi Kim,

You are so lucky getting lovely compliments you must be looking great!

Whenever i feel like giving up, I look at my first photos before starting Tony. And I remind myself why I want to get to goal, one of many is I want to wear size 12 jeans! (not even close yet).

Me too, I hate when people raise thier eyebrows at me, and say you'll waste away to nothing. And I say to myself no, I am certainly in no danger of that!!!!! We know the truth, which is we are making these changes safely and slowly.

Maybe you could make an affirmation list and keep it on the fridge or back of your bedroom door where no-one else sees it.  You could put some old photos on it, to remind you of the 'old' you, some photos of some bodies you admire, You could write down your goals as well as the lovely compliments you're hearing, and read them to yourself keep you focused on down days and when you feel like stopping.

Hope this helps

Hi Kimmi,

First of all, do not beat yourself up for falling off the wagon, you are only human mate and it is going to happen. Putting 6kgs on over a six week period is not extremely bad. You could have done more serious damage. 6kgs is doable to get back where you were in not too long a time and start moving toward your goal line.

The compliments are great right? And it is nice that folks are seeing the rewards of your hard work? Bet you been enjoying the shopping also? All those lovely new style clothes you can get into now, not to mention the range of choices which you did not have when you were carrying that extra 20kgs around. Bet you, like the rest of us folks have settle for clothing, not because you like it but because it fits and will do for that occasion that you need something decent to wear to and now, am I right?

I see from your Ticker scale, you have got to the half way mark in your journey, now that is a incredible well done job; congratuations!  You must have felt extremely proud of yourself and loved the feeling of being lighter, fitter and prettier at the 20kgs loss.

Just imagine if you felt that good when losing the 20kgs and the compliments and the side benefits that came along with that loss, how you would feel when you lose the next 20kgs and get to your goal finally!!? How wonderful would that feeling be, not to mention how proud of yourself you would be also.

It is obvious, you can do the program and you can achieve.  With small steps, you could be the weight you want to be and living the you desire.  Accept these 6 months that you have put on the weight as a vacation period for getting to the half way mark of your journey, pick yourself up and get back on the wagon as they say.  Jump onboard of one of the challenges to keep your focus and one day at a time, one meal at a time..  You can do it, you have done it and you can do it again.

You have so much to gain to get to the end of your journey   I know it is abit daunting to think about dieting with christmas just ahead of us but there is still enough time to put a dint into the damage you have done before christmas.  You only need three good weeks to get cut by half or more, with a bit of work. Then maybe you could talk to your TF consultants about going onto the progress plan for the christmas period so you can still enjoy christmas but miniums any weight damage.

Kimmi, with abit of effort, you could be looking for a whole new winter wardrobe by June next year!!! And maybe could affort a short winter holiday to the Gold or Sunshine Coast as a reward for a good job done!  My goodness, I think I can already see you in a cute little bikini, lying on the sand, soaking up the sun!!!!   YOu can do this Kimmi, you really can!

I look forward to watching your progress!

Cheers Chook!
