This is just a little rant, have to get somethings off my chest.

Everything seems to be going wrong at once, me and my boyfriend of two years broke up just over a week ago, work has gotten so stressful that I dread going in- I either have to sit there for hours with nothing to do or I am buried under work I don't understand, rego and vet bills are drawing closer, I'm broke and it's my birthday in just over a month and it's just made me think that I'll be another year older and while the majority of my friends are finishing uni soon or travelling I am just floating around doing nothing worth while.

I'm trying to get it together and set some goals but I'm having trouble shaking off the blues

Oh gee, it never rains but it pours hey?  I'm so sorry everything is going so tough for you. I had a tough week a little bit ago, but it was just me being down in the dumps and nothing like you are going through.  Do try and sit down and have a think about what you want to do now -- try and turn everything bad that is happening into an opportunity -- I know that seems hard when you're feeling so overwhelmed, but you will get through this, I guarentee.  If you need someone to chat to feel free to PM me any time, I'm never far away

Awww hun, try not to get down on yourself....we have all been through downers and struggles in life. I too am financially struggling. I just got the house phone reconnected after having to pay a HUGE sum of money, I have debts coming out of my ears to the point where I either have to try and tap into my super....or worse....declare bankrupt. These are debts from my ex-marriage that I havent been able to shake off in years...and now with a son its even harder.

Its hard picking up your life from scratch....I was in a relationship/marriage for over 6 years. You just need to get up and dust yourself off, and realise that life will deal you all kinds of blows to throw you off guard to reaching your goals and achievements.

You will get there, and everything will work out in the end, you just have to keep thinking that.

We are always here to listen and that alot of us have a great understanding what your going through, so we are here to support you in anyway we can.

I'm not going to say anything chipper and cliche because it IS hard when life throws you curve balls and losing your partner is a sadness you just have to work through.  It may be that that one thing that is making the rest of your life feel hard as well.

The good thing is that one day soon you will look back and it won't feel so bad.  In the meantime, enjoy the extra time with your family and try and do something for yourself everyday - even if it's just a nice hot bubble bath with your favourite music (one of my favourite things and trust me, life is not fab this side of the ditch right now either).

Take care of no.1 and everything will fall into place.

Then I'll be the one to say something chipper and cliche!!

When life deals you lemons, make lemonade. Never underestimate the power of positive thinking. It doesn't mean challenges don't come along but does give you the tools to look for solutions instead of letting yourself worry about the problem. It's good that you see the extra time with your family as being the positive in your situation right now. Look for other ways to benefit from this time. It's hard to do so but will help you find your way out the other side less frustrated and maybe more quickly.

Can I suggest getting your hands on a recording of "The Secret". It's a powerful tool that helps shape a better way of thinking.

Good luck and good times are coming your way if you believe it.

Well said ksim!!

Yes, life sucks sometimes but it's how you choose to deal with it.

We struggle financially and we get down about it but I always say to my hubby... we can either be happy and deal with it or be sad and deal with it.  I'd rather be happy!!

Things will improve just try to be positive no matter how hard it gets.

Whenever you feel like you need some support just jump on here, there are a lot of wonderful people that are more than happy to offer support to those who need it.

Thinking of you and sending heaps of positive energy your way!

Jen x
