| So, coming from someone who used to exercise daily - this is killing me! I've jumped back on TF after injuring my knee and consequently having a full knee reconstruction therefore putting on some weight. But my question is, does the TF program still work with no exercise? Obviously I am strictly sticking to it - but hoping I can still lose with nil exercise!

Hey Susan, welcome to the tf journey I thought i had seen this question answered before, so i went looking to see where it was and found it in the questions asked to the tf consulantants. Ohh the short answer is no, you dont have to exercise and the long answer is found here-http://forum.tonyferguson.com/Topic342210-8-1.aspx (i have copied the answer for you also) Thank you for your query regarding exercise on the Tony Ferguson Weightloss Program (TFWP). Exercise is an important component of a healthy lifestyle. It has MANY benefits to health, one of which makes our bodies better at using fat as a source of fuel. The TFWP has the same effect in that it reduces the amount of insulin we need and makes fat easier to burn and harder to store. Therefore it is not necessary to exercise to lose weight on our program. We at TF recognise that there are some people who are unable to exercise or who are physically restricted and for this reason exercise is NOT a compulsory part of the TFWP. However, it makes sense to combine a healthy eating program with physical activity. Walking is a great activity to be incorporated into your healthy lifestyle program. Maximise your opportunities during the day by building in some activity where possible: take the stairs rather than the lift, park your car further away from the shops, take the washing to the clothes line in three trips rather than one! Be creative and enjoy movement in your day. Remember, before undertaking any exercise program please consult your doctor, gym or personal trainer. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions. Regards, The Tony Ferguson Team

I have been exercising constantly for years, mostly it does not help me to lose the weight but does tone me up and help me feel better, I complete a circuit 3 times a week, and walk for 45 minutes each day 7 days a week, and ride my bike at least three times a week as well. But recently I have been have tingles in my left arm and a icep, i have now got to go to a specialist about my back, the doctor said that due to wear and tear my back has become fragile, causing a lot of aches and muscular pain. i am worried that they may want to operate I am trying to find an way to exercise to stabilise my back bone, therefore maybe averting the operation later on down the track. I know I need to lose weight but I have been on a plateau for months, I seem to lose fat around my chest, and legs but my stomach does not look like it is going anywhere in a hurry. I have not been to the gym for a few days and I miss that extra time to myself. cheers
