More than 2 years later I am back, I lost 26kg before my wedding and I looked ok, I still wasnt happy, but definatly happier than I am now!!  I put it all back on plus another 6kgs, I am so angry and ashamed, oh yeah I can make excuses, ivf, owner building a house, moving, husband losing his job etc etc etc, BUT its all not going to cut it, and the end of it, im real fat again and feeling awful and hating to even leave the house, coz all those people who praised me for losing weight will see that im a failure and I have put it all back on again, its bad enough my family and friends see, anyway, in 2 weeks I have lost 5kgs, but then last night I went to a linen party, after being real good, I blew it, ate like a pig, I wasnt even hungry!!!  Why do I always sabotage myself, this isnt the first time I have tried the shakes again after my weight gain, and I always stuff it up, anyway I am going to try real hard to be as good as ever over the weekend, and hopefully I might still have a little loss on Monday, anyway I can sympathize with all of you, its hard its a struggle, but I know I can do it, I have done it before, and if I can do it....so can all of you

Good Luck

Cheers Caz

Hello fellow yo-yo. I have tried every diet you can think of and I have still put it on. My happiest and lowest weight was 68-70kg. And yes like you it was before my wedding. Nearly 4 years later and with a 10 month old I am here dieting again. I think it is all about putting your head into the mode. I really have been thinking about how I was feeling being big. I am uncomfortable, ashamed, my skin needs regular exfoliating and I have no motivation to try. This is not who I am and I want ME back.

We cannot lose ourselves over enjoying a party. Last weekend a long lost cousin was in town and the family went to the local curry house. I ate it all and that was after some fish & chips at the beach. The rest of the week I just stuck to my program and I feel so much better than I did last weekend. My skin looks better, my hair looks great and I have a smile on my face.

We are worth it and definately deserve it.

Hi Caz!

I too fell off the wagon this week quite badly, I was going really well and feeling amazing too but I am also dealing with alot of stresses in my personal life which make every day with food a battle which i seem to either fight or feign defeat... unfortunately last weekends after going really well i went out with the girls and got totally plastered end up at maccas on the way home and that in itself lead to a week long non-stop binge... bad bad bad...

i found coming on here yesterday really helped - the support is amazing and really helped pick me up ... althoughi stil binged last night after posting ... this morning i felt really supported and realised i am not alone but only i can loose this weight for myself no one else...

so here i am saying you have my support and everyon elses too... you can do this.. you have done it before and yes it is harder the second time around but its worth it and it really is about taking it one day at a time and one weigh in at a time. what threw me off course last time was going to a weigh in and only loosing 0.7! god i wish i just perservered back then imagine how much closer to goal i would be 6 months later! but its a lesson learnt and you know what today was a good day and i am going to make sure it stays a good healthy night too... one day at a time, one hour at a time, one meal at a time we will all get through this together... we are not alone

krissy xx

Falling off the wagon I can't even remember where I LEFT THE WAGON. I've have my shake this morning which I do every morning then manage to stuff up the rest of the day/week/month and have been doing that for weeks.  So back to TF two shakes fruit we all know the deal but just some how OH I'm so busy hating me I really don't have time to do anything else.  All is great husband, kids, grandkids, home, dogs.  So why to I do this to me.  I was going to buy a Wii fear would I use it, I have an exercise bike and don't use it.  So I have contacted Curves and waiting for them to call back.

This time for all of us LET'S JUST DO IT.

Regards,

Marg.

Hey marg, I have some ideas I have done that might help you out a little

Maybe it might help if you go through the fridge and the cupboard and sort them all out, put everything you shouldnt have out of eyes view, and all the stuff you should be having in front, and add some bottles of water to the fridge, right on the top shelf where you can see them.  Most people only grab what they see in front of them, and dont want to bend, or go searching through the back perhaps even making the top two shelves or top shelf of the fridge just for you.

Do the same thing with the cupboard. Remove all the items you arent suppose to have right out of view (perhaps putting them on the bottom shelf right at the back -- or even having a junk food cupboard where its an inconvience to you to get to it, but its right for the kids to get it)

Then as the items disappear, replace them with other items you can have as well as the rest of the members in your family, the kids/hubby, can take vege sticks etc for snacks at lunch, they can also eat the same main meals as you, (theres heaps of receipes in the receipe thread to take advantage of).

Also, think about replacing the foods that you arent suppose to eat with a different type, that way, when you are able to eat them, your already in a habit of buying the healther version, and the others in the house are use to eatting it. Ive changed things in the house like pasta - we dont get white pasta any more, we get wholemeal or soy pasta (and the kids actually prefer it) and although it looks brown in the pack, it actually turns white when cooked and most dont know it.  Crackers we have changed also to sakata or rice crackers - the thai lime and corriander is a favorite atm in this house.

One thing i love about this diet, is it gets you reading the back of the packs to see whats hidden inside the packaging.

Try planning ahead with your meals also - it does help, and make sure you include a variety of foods - ohh dont forget your treats also
