hi.....ive been reading heaps of posts over the last few weeks trying to motivate myself back on to TF.......i was doing so well for about 5 weeks, not a huge weight loss but i was plodding along nicely and felt great.......cant tell you what happened, but alas, i am back to old habits.....disgusted with myself etc etc!!

i dont get why i stopped doing TF as i soooo want to lose my weight!   where do you get your will power and motivation from.????  the b4 and after pics i look at every day are just amazing.....i so envy you guys who are at goal or near it....  i envy everyone actually who can stick with this.!!!......it isnt rocket science and it is a great easy to follow program......... (sigh)  but why cant I  stick with it.......omg i am so mad with myself........but anyway..........

this does my head in all the time......being overweight sux.......we all know that....but i know its 'me' who can stop all these negative feelings  and help my self to look and  more importantly, feel amazing...   but grrrrrrrr  why cant i???  i am currently 100kilos  (ouch)  want to be 75................

Ohh hun,  it is only you that can stop those feelings.

You are not a failure nor ever will be.  It doesnt matter that you feel you fell off the wagon, in fact you didnt you're still around, and you're still on the forum, there is always someone around that can help, either on here or the freecall number for the tf consultants, YOU ARE NOT ALONE

How about getting up and dusting yourself off, spend tomorrow getting yourself organised, and write down why you dont want to be the weight/size you are, and writting down and putting into action, a conciquence for acheiving your goal - setting yourself a heap of mini goals along the way, they will be acheiveable, and will help motivate you.

Boredom is one thing that might have influenced you going off the diet, so perhaps spending a little bit of organisation with food also might be the way to go - get yourself a book, and write down a food & exercise menu leaving a gap underneath, so you can put down what you actually did have and what you did.

The receipes that are on the forum are fantastic, and also on the home page, so take advantage of them also.

Go though and read some of the threads in the insperational threads - some of those stories are full of emotion and sadness and finish with happiness, and the pics tell a thousand words - perhaps you might like to start one of those, or add to one if you already have one, or perhaps even writting a diary.

One other thing, if that is you in that photo, you look like a beautiful strong women and you also look like the type of woman who when you set your mind to doing something you will do it.

Believe in yourself

Hi Heather - its great to see you back!!  MM's right -you are not alone here!  Personally, I found being organised was the key to getting me kick-started, spent the first few Sundays preparing meals/jellies/snacks for the week so I had no excuses to slip up - after a few weeks it became habit.  Work is my worst time and having something on hand to take in with me is my saving grace.  I have found the recipe books invaluable.  You will get there!

try reading the book 'weight loss for food lovers'

i have found it invaluable this time around.

it explains why we sabotage our weight loss efforts.

the books available from TF centres.
