gah i get all focus and determined that I will do this....then I get bored or upset and its straight to the fridge!

I really would like to do this, just need a way to combat a way to get over the emotional/bored eater! How do you cope???

Hey jkb, how about you put all the items that your arent suppose to have in the bottom of the fridge at the back -- out of sight out of mind. And if there are others in your family, slowly substitute everything so that if you do happen to have some its not going to do so much damage? Things like change over pasta to the wholemeal variety (yep its brown raw, but when its cooked it actually is white and no one can tell the difference), change full cream milk over to no fat, or physical (even if you have to wash out the original bottle and pour it in there (people dont even realise if you start off by making it half and half .. then add more and more, and before too long they are drinking the better variety), it will become a way of life, and you will get use to it

Add snacks you can have within eye view - vege sticks and dip is a great treat -- some of the black swan variety of dip you can even have (the roasted capsicum is yummm).  Go through the receipes that are in the forum -- theres some great ideas there, including cheesecakes, crochets (however it is spelt) jelly snakes, and you can eat as many of them as you like -- they are all made out of the free foods list.

Add plenty of cold water in the fridge, and put them in convience bottles (i use pump bottles) and make sure there is enough so you know your getting at least your two litres -- add a bit of diet cordial if you like, or a bit of lemon or lime juice.

When you do cook, keep the left overs, in the top shelf (of only the food that you can eat, eg, stirfry)

Also, one other thing, go and take a good look at the tf range - i went in yesterday and there looks like theres even like biscuits/chip type things in there too now, but theres a variety of things to pick from.  You dont have to have shakes or soups, theres munchbars also. Theres wrap bread, and choclate (a huge variety), theres sweets, deserts all sorts of stuff.

Mix up all your meals, you dont have to have your shake or soup for breaky and lunch - you can have them anytime.  I have a coffee shake around 3 as i suffer from 3.30itis and for lunch i have a salad or a stir fry.  You can have a big breaky or lunch if you need it, and keep that as your main meal, The trick is to have variety so your not bored with your food.  Turn your shakes/soups into cakes, puddings, piklets, waffles, muffins -- the reciepes are up there, and they are so easy to follow

Have a good look around the forum, theres loads of ideas in there that others have done that might just work for you also give it a go
